  1. Harris down. Looks to be in considerable pain. Left ankle/leg got pinned under him. Literally being carried off the field.
  2. I don't think the pressure is getting to him. If I was him, and if someone in the media puts out there that I said something I never said, I'd be angry as well. and since the tweet was deleted, pretty much tells me the media guy was WRONG. Exactly. The fact that he wasn't willing to stand by his comments says all that needs to be said.

  4. Glenn out of the game with an injured left elbow but it doesn't appear serious. Beck taking reps.
  5. For those that may not have seen it on Twitter, after the Lirim blocked punt Keith McCullough tweeted: "O'Shea puts blame on Hajrullahu on blocked punt. Tell him he has to get rid of it quickly on low snap." The tweet has since been deleted but that didn't spare him from the wrath of O'Shea. For those who have been critical of O'Shea's demenour in interviews, I HIGHLY suggest you listen to this. Go to the audiovault on CJOB, click 9 PM and have a listen. He also has some words for Kim Murphy as well regarding the contacting the kicker penalty. After the block was brought up by Bob Irving who asked if Lirim did not get the ball off fast enough, O'Shea said: "No but apparently one of your reporters reported that. If he ever knew anything about football, maybe him and I could have a chat. If he knows anything about me I never BLAME players. That word BLAME doesn't exist in our locker room. It's very frustrating to hear somebody say that because they don't understand the protection, they don't understand the whole operation. As I look at it on film I'll know exactly what happened and no one else because I don't blame people." He went further into the comment saying he'd "get to the bottom" of how the comment came to be. Needless to say, the boss is angry.
  6. I think it can work, but there's a time and a place. Coaching has certainly evolved, you don't see as many "hard asses" as you do in the past. That being said, I don't think tough love on anybody is going to accomplish anything. This team is just not talented enough to be where we all want it to be. If this wasn't a talent issue, I could see it being useful in certain situations. Running the hogs hard in practice all week for example isn't going to make them perform better against Ottawa because they just aren't good enough yet.
  7. What exactly did I back out of? His points in either thread made no sense based on the argument he was trying to make. I stand by my comments.
  8. and he got the win, didn't he? What point are you trying to make? Me - ONE and SIX What did Collaros do to actually contribute to that win? Pretty sure their only touchdown came off of a blocked punt followed by a blown assignment in the run defence that was a 20+ yard TD from Madu. We gave up 5 sacks and had 15 penalties for 130 yards. The fact that we even had a chance to win this game shows the QB Willy is. If we were to get six wins all season, back in June people would have taken that easily considering our roster and record from last year. The team we see now is the team we are. We exceeded expectations at the start. There are holes on this roster in terms of Canadians, receiver depth, and the offensive and defensive line. We'll get there. Quarterback is not in any way, shape, or form the issue on this team. My point - You need to get a clue, because you have none. Remember the thread about keeping Renaud? You proved your knowledge of this football team in that thread considering he can't kick off or kick field goals, nevermind the creation of this thread which quite frankly goes beyond stupidity. Really Mr. P. 9 Td's in 12 games, and 11 int's, if you want to talk stats. Only stat I care about are wins and loses. You are so smart you dissed me about Crompton remember. Don't look now but Crompton is only TWO wins behind Willy. I could care less about stats though - it's wins. And Willy is 5 and 1, now 1 and 6. I have the clue you don't. And don't call me stupid it's an opinion mr arrogant Actually if you take the time to READ what I said, I said this thread was stupid. I never said you we're stupid.actually every item you referenced and the way you put your post together you pretty much called him stupid, you know it, i know it we all know it. Play with words all you want. There was no personal attack or personal insult in anything I said. He made his points, I made my counter points and explained them. Welcome to a discussion on a message board. Like I said in another thread this afternoon, I'm not going to apologize for making counter points to posts that someone makes. If someone gets offended by that, then chances are they need a thicker skin. This isn't daycare.

And don't call me stupid it's an opinion mr arrogant Yes you're right, I did call you out on Crompton. Look at last night. He was under FIFTY PER CENT passing against Ottawa, and had two interceptions to boot. Hell, Tino Sunseri put up better numbers against Ottawa than Crompton did. That's all that needs to be said. Yes Montreal last night but it was NOT in any way, shape or form because of him. He has more interceptions than he does touchdowns this season(seven to four FYI) and he's barely over 60 percent passing. I stand by my comments on Crompton.
  10. QFT. Give away 10 points, give up over a football field in penalties, you're going to lose plain and simple.

  12. I don't disagree but that time count was inexcusable and you can't expect to win a game when you score 11 points. Its only on him for not calling a timeout... MB is just as much at fault for that and for the game. We didn't have a timeout at the time. It was used after the third down play to get us to the 3.
  13. Truth be told I actually liked Marcel's adjustments this game. Hamilton was blitzing hard because our line is a joke, then Marcel started calling those crossers to Bryant and Grigsby. Hamilton had no answer defensively and couldn't figure out what we were doing defensively. We just ran out of time.
  14. I don't disagree but that time count was inexcusable and you can't expect to win a game when you score 11 points. You score 11 points when you take 15 penalties for 120 yards. As for the timecount, considering this, what would you have liked him to do...? Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 4m O'Shea says Willy couldn't hear play call, which lead to timecount violation on second and goal in final seconds. #Bombers

  16. He can't finish drives. Funny, I could have sworn he finished some pretty big drives at the end of week 2 and week 6 but what do I know...
  17. Over 300 yards passing, no turnovers, over 65 per cent completion percentage. Yes, lets blame the quarterback. Unbelievable. By the way, the guy who 95 per cent of this message board wanted in the offseason was just over 55 per cent passing, didn't throw or run for a touchdown and had under 200 yards passing.
  18. Cornish, all day. Early and often. Give him 20+ carries, the rest will take care of itself.
  19. You just don't get it. That's not his mantra. We all know it's not just another game, he knows it as well. That doesn't mean he's going to say it, much like how he said we'd be the same team with Brohm under the controls if he ended up getting the start tomorrow when we obviously would not be. Not that difficult to understand how O'Shea handles himself in the press. I fully get his mantra but O'Shea has to realize he's in the entertainment business and not politics, so as the Bombers only spokesman he owes the fans and the media a modicum of respect in providing valid "real-time" references in regard to the Bombers status during his press conferences. Otherwise fans and media will begin to tune out "his message" once the playoff hopes fade and the "new coach is cool" infatuation wears off. Once the media is starved for relevant info. they begin to fill their columns with drivel like Wiecek has recently. Wrong again (on many levels but I'll keep it short as possible). O'Shea is not in the entertainment business. O'Shea is in the coaching business. You could say the players themselves are, but it's not up to O'Shea to provide the entertainment (and where politics come from is beyond me - Not even sure how you reach that conclusion). O'Shea doesn't care if the fans or media tune out his message, and he shouldn't care. The ONLY message O'Shea needs to be concerned about is the message he provides to his players, which is why he conducts himself the way he does in front of the podium. It's the right way whether you like it or not. Excuse me but you must have fallen asleep during your moderators 101 class. You have your opinion and I have mine, doesn't make either of us right or wrong, we just have different perspectives. If you want to act as though only your opinion is correct than please take off your moderators cap before posting so that you don't discredit this forum. When O'Shea's salary is ultimately derived from approval of the product he is putting on the field for which the fans pay to view for entertainment value only, that is the first clue that O'Shea works in the entertainment industry. Second clue. Like it or not O'Shea appears on TV and in print at least once a week speaking to the viewers and the press as part of his contractual obligation to convey information regarding a product he wishes to sell, "Bomber football" which can be classified as nothing but entertainment. If those duties do not go well as with Mike Kelly, his performance in other aspects of his job may not matter very much. Ultimately every coach will keep or lose his job depending on how well entertained the fans are. Not surprisingly most fans derive much more pleasure from winning than they do from losing. If you're wrong in your thoughts, you're going to get called out on it. Being a moderator is irrelevant. I'm not the only mod on this site to call out someone for being wrong, and I won't be the last. I've also been a moderator on other sites, and was not the only one to call out posters for being wrong. Being a moderator does not mean I can't tell someone their wrong. Yes you can have an opinion (that is why we're all here after all), but if that opinion is wrong, I'll tell you it's wrong, and I'll explain why you're wrong as well as I did in my previous post. I'm very confident in what I post and unlike you I can back up my arguments, and counter arguments with points that actually make sense. If I come across as a jerk or worse because of how I express myself, I'm not going to apologize for that. This isn't daycare, and it's not my fault if you or others don't have a thick skin when it comes to getting called out. O'Shea's number one goal is winning. Period. End of story. Making sure the fans and media are entertained AS we win is not in the least in his job description. If the job of a coach was to entertain the fans and media in press conferences, Bill Belichek would have been fired a long time ago. O'Shea conducts himself as a professional coach who is focused on winning. Maybe people aren't use to that based on other coaches we've had here recently but as a whole when you look at winning coaches in general (yes there are exceptions here and there) they all act in the same way. O'Shea is cut from the same cloth.
  20. The difference between the two is marginal. Not enough to win or lose a game IMO - but if Lirim gets hurt - who kicks that 45 yard field goal to win a game, hmmmm? Hardly marginal. Renaud shanks way more punts than Lirim, it's not even close. Furthermore, regarding your 45 yard field goal point, Renaud can't kick field goals, or kick off to save his life. If you recall back to the game we were suppose to dress Louie Sakoda in 2010, and he couldn't go because he hid is injury from coaches, Renaud was forced to do kickoffs and field goals. It was an embarrassment.
  21. You just don't get it. That's not his mantra. We all know it's not just another game, he knows it as well. 22. Kid is a warrior. Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 2m Regardless of the importance of this game for the #Bombers, Drew Willy says he would have played anyway.

  24. You know, and this isn't directed to one particular person, just a general statement for everybody, but there's something to be said for the individual that's able to be the bigger person and not get suckered into a pissing contest when they are being baited in. Just some food for thought. As for the trade itself, while the Riders haven't ruled out Durant for the season, I've seen nothing that indicated the team is optimistic, or counting on Durant being ready for the playoffs - merely that it's possible he may be, just as it's technically possible for Ottawa to run the table and win the east, but I don't think anyone is holding their breath for either scenario. With that said, at the moment (and yes it's premature) I'd give Hamilton the edge on the deal as it seems shortsighted to do a deal like this when realistically Durant won't be back.
