  1. Shouldn't have to explain this but here's we go. It's okay to call Glenn a lousy QB for playing a bad game but not Ray? How about considering that each individual player is just one component of a team and not solely responsible for wins or losses? Even if they are the QB they can only perform well if their teammates provide adequate support and in both of these games that was not the case. You're bang on except for..... the fact that Ray is missing his top three receivers, and his most potent weapons this past game were a rookie and a receiver who hasn't played football in a year and a half. Meanwhile Glenn has Harris, Logan, Arceneaux, Gore, and Taylor. But hey, lets point the finger at Ray in this one. It's not like the tools Glenn has would be of any use to him.
  2. Has everyone forgotten how Grigsby (who I'm not advocating for with this comment, just making a point) performed against Toronto in week one? I'd really like to believe our fans aren't this stupid. Look at the stats and how Toronto ranks against the run. After that, take into account the talent of the Saskatchewan line. Take a pill and relax.
  3. Oey vey...those who don't get the game they pretend to understand...
  4. Sure, but again remember the context. Grigsby destroyed Toronto too. They average 113 rushing yards allowed per game - eighth in the league. If this was Calgary, Edmonton, or Montreal then it would be impressive. Well, I'm thinking the Grigsby experiment should be over, get Cotton in there, see if he can move the ball, play protection. Agreed, I want to see Cotton as well. Just saying I'm not particularly impressed by Ford tonight when you consider how bad Toronto's defence is, nevermind how good the Riders offensive line is.
  5. I also noticed that January was back to his usual steady play. He got beat a few against the Esks. January was okay IMO. Average really which I guess is what January is typically to be honest. A few times we ran off tackle to his side he was getting pushed back. Pass protection was decent, nothing special.

  7. Toronto is near the bottom of every defensive stat in the league. They're likely going to get blown out. Toronto doesn't have a chance to keep up considering Ray is playing with a bunch of clowns on offence with the exception of Coombs.
  8. We ran very well against Toronto as well. Their defensive line is simply awful.
  9. Big mismatch between the Riders offensive line and Argos defensive line. Ford could have a big day.
  10. And if they'd got the 2? Still bad - same if Edmonton had converted the fake punt. You trust the textbook for a reason. If they'd got the 2 yards, it would have been genius. Sometimes the textbook isn't the only guide. Don't matter now. Sure it's not the only guide, but it's called the textbook for a reason. It's right more often than not. You're probably right, but I thought with 2:36 left in the game and the way LeFevour had stolen momentum it was worth the risk. Ce la vie. I understand the mindset. My thought is given it was a 7 point spread at the time, you punt and play the field position. Even if Hamilton advances the ball (which they did) you can still force a punt at the 40 or 50 yard line hypothetically and have a minute to work with on offence needing only a touchdown. The game was over essentially over barring a turnover as soon as the gamble failed as Hamilton needed only 10 yards to get into Medlock's range who is money to make it a 2 possession game.
  11. Toronto is in a boat load of trouble (see what I did there?) until they get healthy. Ray doesn't stand a chance.
  12. Holy **** pretty sure Rod Black just said "Mo Mann" six times in a single sentence.

  14. The beauty of getting pressure on the quarterback.

  16. Awful call. Both going for it and the play call itself.
  17. Our defence is much, much faster than Ottawa's (and just flat out better). We also won't be so heavy on the safety blitz which has resulted in a lot of big plays.
  18. LeFevour has shown flashes whenever he's gotten reps. It's being consistent that has been the big issue.
  19. Both play a part no doubt. However to fully blame the line for our short yardage issues is simply foolish. As an aside granted B.C. doesn't have any consistent, dangerous threat to sack the QB at end, I liked having Howard at tackle last night.
  20. Childs a late scratch for the Argos tonight. Who is Ray going to throw to?
  21. Another good pick up by Gable on Fraser.
  22. Jovon Johnson burnt on a deep route. Some things never change.
  23. Nevermind the fact that job #1 of the QB is to get low on sneaks - something Marve doesn't do at all. Some people just don't understand the game they are watching.
