  1. Brandon Dyson is always willing to end another career or two...
  2. I would say that you don't get it. You can count the amount of "great" games Reilly has had in his career on one hand so far. He is a consistently very average QB who has a great game few and far between. We may not win, but more than likely it will not be because of Mike Reilly.
  3. IMO we used the quick passing game when we needed it. Our last drive of the first half was almost exclusively quick hitters to combat the blitz. You can't call a quick passing game from start to finish or else sooner or later you're going to have a pick six going the other way. What was missing I think were draw plays and delays in the running game to suck in rushers then giving the ball to Grigsby. Some may also think that we should have used more screens, and while that can be good at combating an over aggressive pass rush, considering how Neufeld and Howard played, I'm not sure I would have had the confidence to call those types of plays. Montreal's style of defence significantly limits your options as a play caller. People need to realize this.
  4. Game is already over. It will be closer than you might think. Stamps tend to take walkover games like this not very seriously. Still, pencil in a Calgary win. Last year, based on the standings us and Edmonton were the walk overs. Calgary had a combined score of 161-94 and a 5-0 record. In 2012 Winnipeg and Hamilton had six wins. Edmonton had seven. Calgary had a combined score of 231-139 and a record of 7-0. What part of that is taking walkover games not seriously?
  5. Edmonton does not stack the line on a consistent basis like Montreal does. It dramatically limits your options as a play caller. We'll have more to choose from on Thursday considering the difference in styles.

  7. Our points allowed is rather high however through three games as well.
  8. The first was a difficult play, no doubt about it. That being said a drop is a drop. I feel with great confidence that is a play Aaron Woods would have made.
  9. Stating the obvious here but hot damn could Dunigan ever chuck the pigskin. Crazy watching even those select highlights.
  10. No doubts... specially mid game when they were getting blitzed like crazy. 0 touches for Cotton was also baffling. Keep in mind the touches running backs with Calgary and BC got in their previous games with Montreal. The Cornish only had moderate success because he broke a run or two when the game was well in hand, he really didn't do anything before then. Harris and Logan were non factors last week. When you stack the line it limits your run options. Granted some screens would have been interesting to see against the blitz, but considering how the line was performing it's maybe best they didn't try it.
  11. Bryant and Swiston are the scratches.
  12. Highly doubt the salary would stay the same on your roster if you kept the player there if TSN increased the salary. Would kind of defeat the purpose IMO. Willy is definitely a bargain at 200K.
  13. Outside of their QB, their offense is still very good. If Smith does end up hitting on a few big plays it will make for a very interesting game. He isn't going to miss all of them. The way Montreal stacks the line on defence and our banged up line will be something to watch as well.
  14. I have the same feeling tomorrow about us. Not sure what it is, just a gut feeling that isn't going away that says tomorrow isn't going to be our night.
  15. I'm taking Ottawa as well. Despite being 2-0, I'm not impressed with Edmonton at all at this point. BC essentially gave them the first game with all of the turnovers and just won by a touchdown, and they were losing to an awful Hamilton team before two boneheaded plays by Masoli and Lefevour. Mike Reilly is an average quarterback and unless Hank turns into Frank, Ottawa should win. Toronto to win at home against Calgary. Calgary will be without their top running back and receiver in the game. BLM may be able to take advantage periodically of a weak Argos secondary, but not enough to keep up with Ricky Ray, and Chad Owens. Also expecting Anthony Coombs to have a solid game in his first career CFL start. Saskatchewan in a romp over BC. The Lions are simply put a very bad football team. The playcalling is questionable at best, five pylons may provide better protection for Kevin Glenn, and he has nobody to throw to. Couple this with Glenn's tendency to force the ball under pressure or when things aren't going his way and this should be easy for the Riders who will be looking to put a rough loss behind them.
  16. Personally I hate highlight videos. Until you see a guy on a CFL field against CFL competition you really have no idea what you're getting. You just cross your fingers and hope it pans out. I'm sure Justin Goltz has a fantastic highlight video somewhere. I recall many people in love with Max Hall's highlight video when he signed here.
  17. Division record I'd assume.
  18. The quarterbacking, especially in the second half was painful to watch. Regardless, still neat seeing some familiar faces.
  19. I was waiting for someone to say this. The video really isn't that impressive when you consider what the average professional QB should be able to throw. And which ones can? Not all of them that's for sure! Of course not all, but the vast majority yes. It's really not that impressive in terms of what one should expect a professional QB to be able to do.

  21. It doesn't specify but if they keep a guy like Grigsby at 75K the rest of the way there's no reason not to play him as long as he is starting here.
