  1. Traded a national player to get him, extended him to a new deal including a signing bonus... yes it's at least a moderate deal. It shows that our GM completely misjudged a player, that is a concern. Yeah from the standpoint of cutting a player who wasn't making the team better it's the right move, but the fact that they made the moves they did to get this guy only to have it not do anything for them, that raises questions about the management here. You bring in a guy with the hope he can contribute. If he doesn't fit what you thought you were getting you cut ties and move on. Welcome to pro sports. It's much better than previous regimes that would hang on to players for the course of a season (Hefney, Johnson, to name a couple, there's many more) when it was painfully obvious they were done.
  2. Depth role. You don't take out any of our starting receivers for him.
  3. It's obvious O'Shea means business. You better buy in to the message, be able to produce on the field, or get out.
  4. Took the Riders to win. They lost some big pieces but they can still get after the QB and Hamilton's line isn't that strong to begin with.
  5. Great advice. If only we were all content with not wanting to improve our careers we'd really be onto something...
  6. Both lines had very weak showings
  7. Damn this inept management team not trading for Kevin Glenn. What were they thinking?!
  8. Burris' signing was announced on February 2 and the trade and extension of Willy was announced on February 4. Proved wrong again. Ouch. I love how people skew facts in an effort to make themselves appear that they know what they are talking about. Minor correction though Jacquie, it was February 6. Most definitely not "at least a week, if not longer." http://www.bluebombers.com/article/blue-bomber-aquire-quarterback-drew-willy-from-riders-sign-him-to-extension
  9. That's an ugly forced ball by Kevin Glenn. Needs to know better by now.
  10. We're in for some real unnecessary delays and reviews if that's how the plan on doing things.
  11. Good grief CFL get your crap together. Not even close. Should have been blown dead immediately.
  12. And then he throws an interception. Which was more of an outstanding play by the lineman and not a forced ball into coverage considering it was Eddie Steele with the pick.
  13. Amen for the crossover.
  14. Troy Smith with numbers at halftime that Justin Goltz would be jealous of: 8/16 48 yards, 1 interception.
  15. Awful read by Troy Smith. Saved by the penalty.
  16. Take away Mitchell's 102 yard touchdown and he's 6/11 for 73 yards at this point. Dull game.
  17. This one may be a stinker...
  18. Unfortunate but not surprising.
  19. Same reason the obvious PI call against Kelly was missed in the endzone - because it's the CFL.
  20. Troy Smith plays a part in this of course, no denying that, but anytime you sack your OC in training camp is usually isn't a good sign of things to come for the season.
  21. Ugly start for Montreal. Take away the big TD pass and Calgary's offence hasn't looked that hot either.
  22. The thing to take away from all of this, and it's actually quite a good thing: the best players will play. Period. It doesn't matter your contract, how you were acquired or why. If someone is better than you, you'll be on the bench or be given your apple and road map. It's quite refreshing.
  23. Does anyone recall how old Ray was when he got his try out with the New York Jets?
  24. I would suggest you search the archive for the thread when we traded for Korey Banks. It was far from unanimous in terms of fans saying the trade was a great move. Try again.
  25. Aside from a few energetic tweets and interviews in the days after the deal, what else has he done exactly?
