CBA details coming out now
For the most part (Nick Moore's tweets from last week) I love how our players have handled it. If they're unhappy with the CBA, and I'm sure they are, then handle it they way it should be handled - internally. None of this crap like you're seeing out of Calgary and Saskatchewan.

Training camp report June 12
Braxton Miller will get a lot of NFL looks. Stephen Morris, we could do better. As for Jordan Lynch, his only problem as a QB is throwing a football, no big deal.

Training camp report June 12
Not worthy of it's own thread IMO so I'll just throw this in here.... Scott Mitchell @SUNMitchell 2h Huff says Drew Tate and Bo Levi Mitchell will play first half against #Bombers. I guess that means fairly even reps for all 4 guys. #CFL

Gary Lawless on Bombers roster
Canadian or not you have to hang on to the football. If he keeps putting it on the ground his passport won't matter.

Gatling blew contain on a number of the Argos big running plays.

Tyson Pencer Released
Same with Etienne. The thing is, they both did virtually nothing in our jerseys so they wasted 2 roster spots. To me, that's what counts. Not what they do elsewhere. Agreed to a point. That being said with them being in legit CFL offences now (though Poblah more than Etienne) I fully expect them to perform better. It's also why I was 50/50 on the trade (and still am, especially after Monday's game) that brought in Banks from B.C. as we also have a legit CFL offence now and gave up a NI for an aging import in search of one last big contract extension who frankly didn't earn it based on last year's play.

Training camp report June 12
No. He punted twice. One for 45 yds and one for 40. According to CFL stats. The question was in relation to practice today, not the game on Monday.

Tyson Pencer Released
Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Poblah did good things in B.C.

Mitch Peacock @MitchPeacock1 43m #bombers O'Shea simply said OL Tyson Pencer "wasn't going to make our team" . Attitude? Ability? Coach-no problem with his attitude." #cbcmb

Did Pencer even get a hand on him on the sack/fumble?

You'll never confuse me for a Kevin Glenn fan but Hall is nothing in any way, shape or form like Kevin Glenn.

Yep - it's useless because the league isn't really a major league. It's not the 'final destination' and 90% of players are not here for the long term. They just want to play and hone their skills for the NFL. Striking won't accomplish that. Guess what though, you live in Canada. The CFL is indeed the major leagues here in Canada. I'm not sure how people fail to understand that Canada is not part of the USA. Why is the CFL not major league? because why? your reasons are flawed, 90 percent of NFL players dont last long either. What makes the CFL not the major leagues in the country you live in? The fact that Canada has like 300 ++ million less people than the USA does? In Canada, the CFL is as big as it gets, therefore it's a major league, just cuz its not on the same level as the NFL doesn't mean it isn't. The NFL should change its name to the AFL because basically its the american football league. You get it now? in Canada we got the Canadian football league. As much as you may want to think that, the CFL is most definitely a 2nd tier league. Name me one American player who dreams of playing in the CFL. Hell, name me one Canadian player who would pick the CFL over the NFL. It's the best we have in Canada and I love it, but in no way is the the #1 football league. The major leagues are where the best players go and they don't go to the CFL. Well said, bang on, on all points.

Deal done!
Because the owners have the means to back up their talk. The majority of the players don't. Missing games hurts them much more than the owners.

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
The CFL is on record saying they won't lock out the players. It's on the players whether or not games will be missed.

How did we lose on Burris and Collaros when McManus and company had Willy rated highest? Not a difficult concept to understand. We got the guy we wanted. Period. End of story.

So, you guys wanted us to pursue someone who …..didn't re-sign with his original club after no NFL offers, and …..it was reported he wanted to go 'home' to the east, most thought Montreal, turns out he wanted Austin and the Ti-Cats, and …..to throw huge sums of money at him to try and convince him to come here, meanwhile knowing full well that he wouldn't fit in the system we are running. Have I got that right? Don't care what the excuses for not trying to acquire him are, they're still excuses. Tantamount to Tim Burke choosing to kneel with time remaining on the clock to alleviate the fear of losing! Walters has done a good job of assembling new talent this year but there is no doubt in my mind he has been "schooled" by veteran GM's on numerous occasions. Hope he learns his lessons well and up's his game.
