  1. He's not running the offence. I wouldn't be concerned.
  2. More than happy to have a Big 10 player on the roster, especially a school that runs a defence like Penn State always has.
  3. Always was a fan of Paris Jackson. A drop here and there but that's football. I think he can still be a good contributor for a team in the right situation.
  4. Considering they've lost Shologan and Dressler (Sheets wasn't there long enough to warrant a big contract) I'm curious what their cap figures were.
  5. Wow Taman is just taking one hot steamer in his pants this offseason.
  6. I didn't freak out at all actually. I simply called you out for making a stupid post, which you are unable to admit to. I'm far from the only one calling you out for what you said. Don't be getting your knickers in a knot at me because you made a foolish comment.
  7. I...I just can't.... Feel free to pass on whatever you're drinking/smoking.
  8. And plays mostly out of the backfield, catches balls in the flats, like a fullback does. To call a guy with 353 CAREER receiving yards one of the best NI receivers in the league, sorry to say is beyond stupid. Is Lavoie good at what he does? Sure, absolutely. One of the best NI receivers in the league though? Not a chance in hell.
  9. Too bad Lavoie is a fullback
  10. Who's Henry's main target right now? Aaron Hargreaves? Your point about quarterbacking right now by the way, is nothing more than an assumption. Henry was pulled a number of times last year for good reason, with MUCH better talent around him. McManus had Willy at #1 for a reason.
  11. As Mike said, I'd be surprised if Peach is here come camp. Sears will factor in somehow as well. Despite his injury history he has shown well at corner when given the chance. Aside from the spots that Turner, Vega, Banks, Randle, and Suber will occupy, much is still very open to debate on defence.
  12. Fourth in the league in tackles last year. Interest?
  13. That's just crazy. Assistant coaches come to the CFL from the NCAA every year. Never said assistant coaches don't come to the CFL from the NCAA - but they aren't coming directly from the NCAA to be an assistant coach here. They may have been in the NCAA in the past at various points in their lives (See Gary Crowton who had been out of the NCAA for awhile), but the assistant coaches there make more money in a year than assistants here will make in a very long time.
  14. How much could he be making as an RB coach at a small NCAA US college? The University of Central Florida isn't a small US college. Their football program likely pulls double the revenue of the Bombers every season, and more in a season like the one they just had. Keep in mind that their players are a very low fixed cost through scholarships and housing, the only people they spend money on are coaches. They won the AAC (an AQ conference) over Louisville last season and beat Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl (BCS bowl). Their QB will probably be a top 10 NFL pick in the upcoming draft along with Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater. Barrett will be making well into 6 figures there, with stable benefits for himself and his family. The only way someone would leave a job like that might be for a CFL head coaching position. Off topic but I loved what Bortles did this year for UCF. Second best QB in the draft behind Manziel IMO. Not as high on Bridgewater as some seem to be.
  15. You're never, ever going to get a coach from the NCAA, regardless of his position to come to the CFL as an assistant.
  16. The issue Taman had were was trading his picks for imports which he didn't do in this particular trade. He landed two non imports which I suppose from his point of view cancels out the two picks he just gave away. That being said, one of the players just isn't very good, the other is a kicker/punter.
  17. Well said. Not sure that I give away two picks for a bust and a kicker/punter.
  18. 2002 I still think was the year they should have won it, but man you lose Stegall before the playoffs, Roberts gets hurt on the first play of the game in the west final, I think Doug Brown was playing with a high ankle sprain too... just too many of the stars hurt at the worst time. And the crazy thing was, had Chad Plummer not dropped that deep pass on the final drive we probably kick a field goal to force overtime. Quite the accomplishment considering the score at the half.
  19. Curious...as of today, what are the picks that we own?
  20. So many greats from the past...Adam Boomer, or the man, the myth, the legend, Cam Hall.
  21. In fairness, Tim Carter wasn't that bad, the guy just couldn't stay healthy.
  22. I miss Raheem Covington, Justin Coleman, and Tim Carter.
  23. Ottawa seems to REALLY be scraping the bottom of the barrel of DB's so far... Kirk Penton ‏@PentonKirk 35s #RedBlacks have signed DE Brandon Lang (#Eskimos) and former #Bombers DB Bo Smith.
  24. Jim Daley's time his past. His last stint as a special teams coordinator was woeful to say the least. That being said, here's more news if you will about the Argos coaching staff... Kirk Penton ‏@PentonKirk 28s Casey Creehan and Will Plemons both on #Argos new coaching staff under DC Tim Burke. #Bombers
