  1. I've said it before, I'll say it again: I really hope somehow Willy is with us next year. I have nothing against Collaros, I think he is serviceable. That being said he has flaws in his game that I don't see in Willy. Willy provides the complete package you want in a passer.
  2. I'll take Richard Sherman's honesty any day. Everyone complaining can have all the cliches that athletes of today give you. I'll take THAT instead.
  3. what we know now isn't much, certainly not enough to make any kind of expectations for the team. What if they trade for Ricky Ray before the season? That dramatically changes expectations. Until I see the coaching staff and who is going to be at quarterback there is no point in talking about expectations. If you don't want to participate in the thread then don't post and ruin the thread. BTW: We aren't trading for Ricky Ray. He isn't ruining the thread at all. Free agency hasn't happened, neither has the draft, and our coaching staff isn't complete, nevermind potential trades that may or may not happen not only between us but other teams as well. It's a valid point.
  4. Miles, and it shouldn't be close.
  5. Jay Cutler had some terrible footwork and Marc Trestman made huge improvements to that in Bears training camp this season. They also went out and addressed the offensive line this offseason a well. Through 15 games last season , the Bears had given up 56 sacks .. going into last night they'd only given up 24. When you have time to set up, those fundamentals don't slide nearly as much .. I only make this note because it's an area where the Bombers also need to improve ..protecting the QB BINGO! The footwook issues will only magnify behind a more porous offensive line.
  6. Considering Vega and Turner probably didn't come cheap, I doubt this happens. Defensive end is easy to recruit. Not sure how I'd feel about paying three guys handsomely on the defensive line potentially. The distribution could be better.
  7. Willy seems to be much more polished under pressure. Things like footwork aren't as easily correctable as reading a defence, knowing when to audible, what to audible to, etc.
  8. Footwork concerns is one of the issues I have with him especially under pressure. Coupled that with our offensive line, and I admit I am a little bit nervous as to how well Collaros would really fit in here.
  9. Mike Gibson hey? Wow
  10. His last stint with the Riders was awful. Players and fellow coaches hated the scheme. Too confusing.
  11. Sandro was no hell at kickoffs either. He managed just 7/10 of a yard better than Palardy. Both lagged the rest of the league by a good five yards. And Palardy's longest FG of the year was a yard longer than Sandro's. We shoulda kept Palardy. In fairness, you're essentially arguing over full blown diarrhea or lumpy 50% diarrhea. Both are crap, both are gone. Move on.
  12. Arash Madani ‏@ArashMadani1m FWIW, the #Bombers emphatically denied Kavis Reed will be their next def coordinator. This after I was told Stubler was Calgary bound. #CFL
  13. Kirk Penton ‏@PentonKirk12m The re-signings have begun. I'm hearing #Bombers have given new deals to P Mike Renaud and OL Steve Morley. #CFL
  14. Not the most sterling accomplishment in the world considering how it was previously...
  15. I love how Desjardins said his picks should be obvious, then he goes and takes three fullbacks. Brilliant.
  16. Louie Sakoda coming up soon...
  17. Glenn and Demarco the QB's.
  18. Calgary Herald writer.... Vicki Hall ‏@vickihallch2m Sources say it's done: Kevin Glenn to Ottawa....
  19. http://cfl.ca/video/index/id/93843 "Certainly not at the quarterback position are we going to select a free agent." So obviously one of Tate or Glenn will be the QB taken for them as a starter. It will be interesting to see, if he follows through on the quote what free agent players he selects at other positions. A slightly different stance from saying he won't select any pending free agent. As an aside, anyone skeptical about his ability to build a team as a winner? He struggled mightily and had the budget to acquire players as Hamilton was very active in trading and free agency at the time during his stint there.
  20. What were you hoping for in a waiver draft you probably didn't know existed before today? DING DING DING!! We have a winner!!
  21. Been there. The team players he brought in were immediate upgrades over the ones Mack had in previously.
  22. I'd give it a few more moves before you say he's got a very good grasp on things. Not saying he doesn't, but let's see how things shake out a bit, eh? He is saying all the right things. Give me ONE move he's made since mack was fired that was bad.
  23. We're in very good hands. It was evident when he took over in August he had a VERY good grasp on things, and it's more evident now.
  24. As Mike said, I think Jarious Jackson would make the most sense given his ties to the organization.
