Well to be fair, Hurl hasn't had a chance to prove himself like O'shea did. If O'shea sees himself in Hurl, I'm inclined to give him a chance to prove it.

Game 1 was watchable. Game 2 was atrocious. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.. If game 3 and 4 follow suit, I'll be singing a different tune for sure, (contrary to popular belief) Good synopsis though DOD, as always

It's a very apt comparison actually. No... Its not really. No one had tremendous hope for Cauchy.. We do for Hurl. We also didn't write off the kid after one game.. Against his former team.... And former coach... Smh. That's revisionist history. Lots of folks around here had huge expectations for Cauchy and didn't want to hear that he wasn't a good pick up. I dunno man. I imagine a lot of people had high hopes for him but I don't recall seeing "safety of the next decade!" Or any other such overhype. I felt most people were hoping he would be an adequate replacement to Logan. Logan wasn't exactly a great safety.. *shrug*

It was Pontbriand. Right at the point of attack too, without that illegal block there may not have been much of a return to regret. No it wasn't, it happened in the middle of the field and by then veltung had already picked left side and was motoring..

Also, peremeter highway gets you from portage ave to pembina in very quick time.. Hell, I live in transcona and it took me under a half hour to get to stadium.. There was a 15 min walk due to not parking smartly but very little change to me in time from polo to pembina..

Does any team really have depth at returner tho? I'm pretty sure almost every team goes to panic mode when their ace KR/PR gets knocked out of a game or injured for any extended period..
