Make no sense to me, Willy hasn't played well for Weeks now he hasn't earned the start based on his play other players have to sit and wait their turn but Willy gets to start based on what ? I won't be watching if Willy is playing I am done with stupid coaches starting their guy let the best players play ! Tired of Romby Bryant as well and EJ would be playing if he wasn't injured MOS neesd to learn to start his best players regardless of salary or who his favorites are... Willy IS the best QB, don't be ridiculous. Suggesting he's not is bordering on idiocy. I like Marve and think someday he may be better than Willy. That day is not in the near future though. I agree with your statement. I cannot for the life of me figure out how anyone could think Marve is the better QB right now. Well, Willy has been very ordinary to bad the past 9 weeks. But, I get why MOS will start him as despite Marve's great play Willy does give us the best chance to win. I mean, on one hand you got a Qb who's been playing all year, and mustered all of 23 yards passing and 1 yard net offense against Edmonton, and that same Edmonton defense, the next week, went up against a QB who hasn't thrown a ball in over a year, and he mustered up 23 yards passing in his first series. Yep - Willy is the man for sure. Willy is the starter.. Period. We are STILL in a playoff hunt amazingly.. So why would we go with our #2 guy? What you are saying makes absolutely no sense.. So willy had a rough game against one of the best defences (who got to game plan for him..) big friggin deal..

They had Meggett and released him To pursue other opportunities.. It's not like we found him to not be good enough..

The first string?Marve should leapfrog the depth chart based on a half of football and ten passes when playoffs are still a (distant, yes but still) a possibility? No... Not likely..

I could definitely live without etch or bellfuelle prowling on our sidelines next season.... As for tracy... Is he really this horrid? His putrid performance (lirim not widthstanding) was the biggest shocker to me this season..

Well, I sincerely hope he comes back healthy and can rip it up next season... And by rip it up, I mean get a TD and maybe a few hundred plus yard games...

. What does that say about Ricky Ray and his zero MOP awards in 12 years or so? Unfortunately Ray had his best years while playing for a terrible Esks team. The guy was absolutely amazing, throwing for 5000 yards behind a porous OL and no running game to speak of.Very true statement, that. He is one of the best pure passing and smart as all hell QBs to step onto the CFL field in a very, very long time.. I honestly dont know how he has gone this long without a pile of accolades..

Damon Allen was a stud QB for being healthy, playing forever and for managing a football game.. He wasn't the best, the smartest or the fastest but he parlayed his skills into a crazy long career.. Deserving of a HOF Spot no doubt but not on many peoples lists of top QBs ever..

And that's what it's all about - Progress. Whether the absent minded want to believe it or not, we made great strides this year considering where we were at this time last year. No reason to believe we won't do the same again next season.Exactly.. We HAVE improved at some key spots... QB looks very promising, Lirim is getting better and better and our secondary is mean.. Do we have a lot of work ahead still? Yup. Doesn't mean we have to fold tents and start lighting torches as some here want to do.. The problem with you Spudsy is you fail to cast a critical eye at any of the area of the Bomber team whether it be a position on defense, offense or special teams, or a position in coaching or upper management. It's all sunshine and rainbows with you. For whatever reason you don't seem capable of offering even constructive criticism of the team, even when it is warranted. And you like to dump all over people who remain skeptical about this organization's ability to improve over the long term...even after the debacle that was Joe Mack - 1 season of improvement followed by 2 seasons of regression worse than the Kelly year. I guess lesson not learned.The team has improved in some spots - starting Qb, backup QB (although limited sample size there), kicker/punter, and secondary. However, the team has become WORSE at other areas - defensive line, linebackers, special teams, O-line, Canadian depth. That last one hurts because we do not have one impact Canadian on this team. Watson is another year older, none of our Canadian o-lineman are good or even above average when compared to others around the league and the one dominant Canadian we did have last year went to the NFL. When you don't have at least one impact Canadian on your team you will probably not make the playoffs let alone compete for the Grey Cup. You tend to only highlight the positives of this team and ignore the negatives and that's your prerogative, but don't expect everyone to follow your line of thinking. All the comments about how things will get better are rather eyeroll-inducing, especially when you constantly stick to the same refrain over and over. Keep doing that and next thing you know you will become this forum's version of Aardvaark. I'm sure you don't want that do you? I dont choose to find fault simply because this forum has more then enough fans who choose to do that and that alone... Over and over again.. Id much rather cheer on my favourite team, focus on the good things I see and call out the people who are overtly negative when there IS some good to be seen. I believe a fan needs to support their team no matter how shitty they have played or how shitty a coaches decisions have been.. frankly, id rather a whole lot of arrdvarks then the other side of the coin because pessimistic attitudes get you literally nowhere.. A whole bunch of optimistic fans who cheer no matter what CAN make a team play harder.. Imo anyway. But i digress, fans are fans regardless of attitude and just as everyone is entitled to call me down for "sunshine and lollipops" I and the other eternal optmistists are entitled to call out the "doom and gloomers"

I wouldnt deplete our QB stable for anything less then a starting canadian tackle. Simply put, IF the QBs pan out then we will be in the best position we have been in decades. Even if 2 outta 3 pan out, we are still eons ahead of our previous situation.. I wouldnt trade that away for anything less then the other most important position in the CFL..

I would like to hear JBR weigh in on what he felt the oline did this week before passing any serious judgement..
