So one of the biggest media personalities and journalists in thw city is allowed to pen an article with ideas as dumb as seen on a fan forum without ridicule? Come on man, this guy is supposed to be a professional.. Anthony Coombs is a starting receiver for the Argos and he's never played the position in his life until a month ago. Where is the depth? Who has the depth? Yes, the Bombers have no depth. Who has depth this year? It doesn't matter JBR, we should just be able to login to create-a-Canuck (to which only Kyle Walters has) and build a 5th stringer receiver, 6th string backup o-liner and 5th stringer Dlineman who are capable of starting straight out the cloning tank! Why hasn't this been done yet!

linebacker. Was Nick Araki a TE? I think by the time he got to Winnipeg he was a slot but he broke into the CFL as a tight end & made his name in Montreal as one. Unfortunately, he broke his neck playing for the Bombers, unfortunately. Ended his career. They mostly come out at night, mostly..

Calvillo among other CFL quarterbacks wasn't any speedster but managed to take off every now and then, even late into his career, to keep defenses off balance a bit. I believe it was last game against Montreal's pretty good D-line when Willy ran for a critical first down. Again, we don't want that as a first option on every play, but a couple of sprints by Willy, even for 4 or 5 yards, may have made a big difference against Edmonton. That. Or Willis may catch him in open field and "cleanly" smash him to bits. Or their new MLB..

It might be that Wylie doesn't like his work ethic or that Jones doesn't learn very well but sure looks like it's Wylie making this decision. Somebody should show Wylie game film from last season maybe that would help to convince him that Jones can play. Mike Kelly and Mike O'Shea are vastly different coaches... That is clear.. I still to this day think Kelly strived to be the biggest.******* he could.. Either to deflect from team or players or just was his "style" but I don't think it was done to ruin himself..

I agreed with you on that one. Protecting Willy is priority number one. For serious tho.. Was there anyone even remotely suggesting otherwise? I don't recall a single post of "golly gee, I think our o-line is swell, best in the league,don't bring in anyone else!" Kinda like standing in front of a raging inferno and saying "see, told ya it's hot!"
