That's a bit of my point... do we want Watson blocking? Or hope that a third import SB or Pontbriand can fill that role... Why wouldn't we want Watson blocking? He hits like a truck, when he sneaks out after blocking he is an excellent threat and why put a slower, reliable guy on the outside when you can put a home run sprinter hopefully with good hands or a huge target with good hands? Just seems like change for the sake of change... Also, Watson loves the physicality of his spot..

Well Whos to say newfy and Knapp don't switch if they don't like the push or blocking..

It's not rocket science folks.. Can Laurent follow a FB/RB in pass coverage if need be? What about spying a mobile QB or RB? Etch thrives on multi-dimensional players capable of pass rushing, speed attacking the line and sometimes coverage in passing situations... Don't you think Walters said to etch "hey man, should we offer contracts to these guys? Are they valuable to your game plan?" Im assuming etch would have veto'd any players who wouldn't be valuable to his game plans... And that's the crux of it, his defenses DEMAND specific players, to a point of causing a complete collapse of it when square pegs are attempted to be shoved into round holes..

Why? Kohlert is a good receiver. And its grigsby for a week... If that. And everyone keeps grasping at the hope that messam would be old messam... I think hes old messam in the fact he is getting older, slower and no where near as dominant... And STILL doesnt play ST or block all that well..

Wasn't Will Ford our Top Special Teams player last season?If not, he was at least very good.. 2 kickoff returns for TDs good..

All i gotta say is o'shea, walters and etch have been around the cfl for ever.. 2 of the 3 are defensive specialists first and foremost.. I highly doubt they are sitting around collectively smacking their foreheads saying "omgz teh run!" Im sure there is a plan in place to shut down the run when the real bullets fly..

Im kinda confused as to why walters or mcmanus would feel the need to lie to us about that.. To keep willy happy? Doubtful.. To keep us happy? Also doubtful... So really, when they say it was drew willy as #1 then why presume it's a lie?

Hervey did it with the second cut-down date which is a little different. And not all the other teams have announced their cuts. Have you heard anything out of Toronto, Hamilton and Saskatchewan yet? Yea dunno why its a concern to anyone if the bombers delay their first cut.. Maybe they are having a huge bomber bash and dinner or something... The things that cause ire around here at times is simply confounding..

He dropped a gimme yesterday. In fact yesterday was a typical Aaron Kelly game. One great play that sticks in the minds of fans and then everyone forgets how he was invisible the rest of the game (aside from a drop) I dunno Mike, he and brohm had some good.chemistry going.. 4 or 5 completions i thought? I thought kelly looked pretty.good behind denmark and jaymar..

So the fact the o-line was in a continual state of upheaval for reviewing and evaluations to be made is lost on you then? You've watched... Well listened anyway... to football long enough to know olines simply cannot be thrown together and expect to look like mid-season form.. This is weak, even by your standards... Also, wylie (and company) will turn our line of hogs into a solid unit, able to provide time to our QB stable.. you can think otherwise but you will be wrong..

I wish, you'll have your usual bomber supporters who will blindly give excuses and support whoever is on staff bash you and say its way to early, but reality is Etchevary's not a good DC. It was simply a bad hire.With who we have where, I don't see our run game getting any better. I used to think our pass defence would be good, but I'm starting to doubt that to. With Anderson sitting, we only have one, maybe two effective pass rushers on the DLine. Etch has been a successful DC in this league with lots of experience and the reality is that its too early to make these kind of comments to be honest.. give the guy some rope to hang himself before bashing and stringing him up.

yeah not sure how we could replace his 5 career special teams tackles over a 3 year period... It's not all about tackles.. Blocking is just as important.

Thats all well and true but you dont get to claim 100 % fact or truth when you dont verify even slightly what your claiming.. i appreciate all the insider info we see here and all the rumours and stuff.. but when people start claiming fact and not backing it up, that irks me..

Because on a discussion forum, I like to discuss things.. Why do you feel the need to put the stamps on a pedestal and then get angry when people comment on it?

How are we piling on? And why is suggesting they could be cut equated to suggesting they may be trash. Good players can be cut too. When you have better players. Do we have better players? And I equate a cut player to traditionally mean he's closer to trash then to treasure, wouldn't you?

Pencer has looked rock solid thus far in his career? I thought this camp and his limited time last season all looked like they were progressions in where he was before.. Not leaps and bounds but not a wasted endeavour yet..

I definitely didn't follow the Leos season all that closely but I didn't think he looked that out of place.. If we get a good season outta him for a continual bust a la poblah then I'm a happy guy..
