  1. the league knows what the fans want. they want the bombers and riders butting heads as often as possible.
  2. even though its hypothetical, hard to not see it as accurate. He has kind of followed Hall around.. and he hasn't really been effective beyond sorta kinda occupying o-linemen to allow others to try and make plays.. operative word, try. I know O'shea loves his work ethic and says he plays the role properly... He too was one of the MLB's that was employed in a similar defense.. and that too probably makes it all that much more harder to believe a change is coming.
  3. Im confused tho.. how does our province allowing another viable option to taxis, disvalue a community here? do Sikh's and Taxis go part and parcel? No. I get that they are a minority and many do end up driving cabs.. but they also drive heavy truck, limo, delivery, etc etc.. does that mean every new shipping company, delivery service or or limo service is doing them a disservice by opening in Winnipeg? what a blatant attempt to use race to curry favour (no pun intended I swear) from Winnipeggers.
  4. Further to the "our DB's can't cover" BS... this is the CFL.. NO DB is going to be able to cover anyone man to man for the amount of time that QB's have (or we gave them that is) to make a play. that much field, that much motion and the inability of our refs to see rubs and picks makes it even harder. Our DBs have some of the better cover skills imo and they showcased it by getting all those picks and turnovers but when you have the whole secondary not only trying to play man BUT paranoid about having to cover up for their gaffes then it makes it even harder still. The rookies we employed caused our defense grief all year. mainly because we couldn't settle on which rookie to play in those 2 spots (3 once leggett was hurt)
  5. Dave Richieism yup.. and he wasn't wrong. a rookie will cost you a win for every one you start. Its rang true every season that I can recall.
  6. no, you don't know what it is you are talking about actually. Heath, Randle and Leggett are some of the best cover DBs in the league.. open your eyes and stop staring at some stupid stat sheet. ever heard "stats are for losers?"
  7. he can teach the offense how to spike one's self in the nuts like nobody's business!
  8. is this a bad thing? Our bottom six have been playing pretty inspired hockey in the last month.
  9. that would be bloody hilarious. I'd rather see if Mulumba's going to give up the dream and come down next season or not before saying "f it" and trade his rights.. He will be a force in the middle if he comes down. it would be a shame to lose him like we lost Mace.
  10. So drafting a special teams guy who... well, was a special teams guy but didn't evolve beyond that.. a solid LB prospect that opted to retire versus move up the depth chart and another ST stud with backup LB potential (and he was drafted where? second round??) is how you want to lambaste the GM.. do you not recall our previous nightmarish drafting before Walters got here? I don't think you could list 5 home runs in 10 years where as Walters and Co have landed 5 in 3? Your expectations are a tad askew.
  11. ya I think this comment was more so directed at the individual above whom believes every pick should be a home run and no pick should ever be poor, etc. Most of us understand that even the first 10 picks are usually a risky pick no matter what kind of leg work is done previously... I mean even last year, Faith Etitikake... people were calling him a bust already because hes not even rotational ready yet. I mean let the kid develop before passing judgement. people forget that the plug in first rounders are the exception to the norm, not the norm.
  12. translation: a fig newton that is far away?
  13. Gotta give him some credit.. at least hes consistent.. consistently wrong but still.. consistent, lol.
  14. oh, no no.. its his lawyer or whomever handles his tweets that called her that, dontcha know. plausible deniability and all that.
  15. on one side, wow. Can't believe they would go this far.. then on the other side of the coin, she would be aware of these laws and what she could have been getting herself into in her native land. Hopefully she has a good lawyer.
  16. Richie Hall.. duh. jk. I'd probably wanna go with Mark Nelson with O'shea as Assist-DC or O'shea with Nelson as Assist DC.. otherwise, I dunno. not too many worthy candidates out there.
  17. good on the kid for sticking thus far. Let him toil away on PRs and as a backup developing his skillset. He can come on down whenever he exhausts his chances and makes some moolah.
  18. Ya I'd think every one of those guys, if cut, would be signed or into a bidding war for their services... so to suggest the defensive roster is weak.. is ridiculous..
  19. well, they won the CFLPA awards too.. those probably carry a fair bit of weight, no?
  20. fair enough.. It is a pretty serious injury, no doubt. If anyone has the grit and determination though, its Moe. I expect he will be back and ready to rumble but very true, the time frame may not line up.. I hope we don't low ball him though on contract discussions.. worst case ontario, he signs and then is cut at the worst case because he isn't medically cleared.
  21. Leggett? How come? did I miss something?? I thought he wanted to be back here and we wanted him back..
  22. isn't this a discussion form? why the fk would me commenting be a bad thing? Christ indeed. I guess feel free to add me to the ignore list? smh.
  23. Why's that? Sure, he may not be starting if Ray is still there but the opportunity to learn from Trestman and Ray plus play for the Grey Cup champs? sign a fat, incentive laden deal and know you are going to be starting a fair bit due to Ray's injury woes and/or just to spell him off.. take the reigns next year or year after while Ray transitions to retire/coach.. I can't see why he wouldn't want to be in Toronto to be honest. keep an out open for NFL tryouts and bide your time. Reilly ain't retiring anytime soon.. getting out of EDM was wise.. and sure, the allure of starting now is bright and shiny but the chance of falling flat on your face is just as plausible.
