well, ill play the devils advocate here and suggest that one of.the reasons canadian RBs are more successful these last 4 seasons are due to the LB and DLs gearing more towards pass rush and pass coverage then before.. we are currently in a cycle that defenses are more tuned towards stopping the passing game with pressure at the qb and having that sam lb who is essentially a db. hell, some wil lbs are looking smaller and smaller and less squads have a beast MLB like in the days past. not a slight at the canadian ball carriers as they have improved in leaps and bounds but until a few more canuck backs crack the nfl rosters i simply dont see that many more starring in the cfl..

what a hilarious bunch of crap.. they crying because we brought our auditioning players to try out and earn a job? suck it whiners, its preseason.. its evaluation.. give us more preseason games then..

officiating will make this league look bush for sure.. I really hope that some of the extra money the league is now making goes to sourcing better trained refs or a better training plan..

(was the o-line starters too) dont get me wrong, odds are good that it was jones being an ass just as much too.. he wants to get into buck's head already, i dont doubt at all.. hopefully when we do impliment the protection packages, that blitz sucks and buck completes some deep throws for massive yards or TDs or catches simpson in the flat or behind the rush and away he goes.. we coulda been playing rope-a-dope for all we know

On that same coin though, wouldn't sending the house using your pass rushing guys let you evaluate who gets at the QB best, even if its against backup o-line (well in this case, our starters I thought) So not only do they get to rattle buck but get to eval that section of their defense.. shady? yup. like mentioned above, normally the gentleman's agreement before hand covers blitzes all day and trick plays n such.. must not have been on the table from Jones to Burke..

just rebuild the thing to snuff for the leagues spec. we had to do it already with MTS centre so i doubt it will be complicated. just costly.. also, how to do it so it doesnt look like an eyesore..

bang on 100% people are so set in their ways that when change happens they freak. everyone had their shortcuts, their special spots to park and whatnot. Now, its all new and different and that makes people panic and in traditional Winnipeg style, prone to bitching, whining and complaining incessantly about it. I get the ire and frustration but its so overblown. Its not like its done on purpose or done with a spiteful angle. Buchko, the board and the U of M directors arnt sitting there rubbing their hands together gleefully as this goes on. It sucks but it is what it is.. there was literally no way to ensure there wouldn't be a problem of any measure. No matter what, people were going to ***** about it.

excellent call.. I was floored when I heard how many people bussed it. I am so used to the winnipeg mentality of if I can drive, i am. I never thought that many folks would be using transit, I truly didn't.

question is, is casey running Burkes defense or his own? If its his own then I would chalk it up to pre-season vanilla and evaluation /not showing all the card.s.. if its burkes then same plus getting used to defense on is own right..

faaaar too early to predict that but if poblah doesn't pick up his pace, he could end up backing up for sure.

I agree with most of it from what i heard on radio.. though didn't now our starters were out for the majority of the game.. alot of people are "woe is me, our starters got whoomped on" but if they weren't in then it was bench vs bench.. What did you think of Parker or was he in the starter category and thusly not played much? Kinda thought Dunn wasn't anything special. wonder if he is gone before next game..

that ain't good. being surrounded by geriatrics never ends well at a football game..
