  1. This. I believe he has been figured out and OC's know how to beat his concepts. Even when he knows he needs to change it up, the chinks in the armour are found easy.. new game plans or need a new game planner.
  2. 2 blown coverages is what I say did us in, that bomb to bowman where he was wide open and the toss into the middle where there was no LB or safety.. both plays broke our back.
  3. Oh I agree but I'd imagine that if he isn't mobile, they will want to make sure its absolutely neccessary before putting him into the game and risk losing him for any future playoff games.. Then again, its one and done so its also highly likely that they start with Nichol's and if he can't answer the bell, Lefevor is in.
  4. I could easily see a scenario where Lefevor starts and if he can't get any traction going, Nichols comes in slightly dinged up still.
  5. caused by pressure and our defense making plays? come on. its not like he was sitting back there with nothing but time and making those picks happen. I honestly don't understand why this concept is so foreign to people. Dan Lefevor, who is a pick machine himself, didn't give up the ball anywhere nearly as much as Calgary did. He isn't an all-world QB, hes barely a backup to lots of people... short yardage specialist. Calgary's defense couldn't do to our offense what the Bombers defense did to their offense. That, imo, means our team OUTPLAYED the other team. Our offense didn't turn over the ball as much. meaning, our offense outplayed calgary's. can't really explain it down to brass tacks any more then that.
  6. didn't practice due to birth of his baby, no need to panic.
  7. *INSERT FRYE MEME* "Not sure if serious..."
  8. Screw Job. love to see the rationale on this.
  9. dood. do you even read the posts? I never said he liked them, only that they use the style of defense.
  10. Both Hall, O'shea and even to an extent Edmtonton have mentioned they utilize a defense that employs this method. Not sure who you've been talking to but its common enough to me.. hell, teams have been using variations of bend but don't break for years.
  11. In the first game he came in for Nichols, he had a deep ball he thru and he gunned it.. I think it may have even been a throw-away but it had velocity and range.. I thought it was going upper deck.
  12. always an endearing term to use to one's loved one. lol
  13. pretty sure he got his training for that from this forum.
  14. not even remotely. people tune in to listen to the talk radio. not just the sports.
  15. I have to admit, I've never heard Richie slag his defense like he did after the game before Calgary. He was truly pissed off and angry by those performances (rightfully so) and I think he definitely let that anger trickle down to the troops. I also think it was motivation to play as inspired as they did. Hopefully they can ride the crest of this wave to the Grey Cup! *knocks on wood*
  16. That's a trumpian level of leap to connect things imo lol
  17. you have zero reading comprehension skills if you think anyone here believes Richie Hall is a great DC. Nobody has ever made that claim. People have said hes serviceable, we can win with him if the team plays like it can, etc etc. If we win the GC, I have no issue with him remaining until the wheels fall completely off. I don't mind a defense that bends and doesn't break. I like the turnovers and pressure. Hall's an enigma to me. He has the defense playing lights out some games, others they look like pee-wee ballers.. consistency needs to be better and then I'd consider calling him good to better lol.
  18. Ya this is true. Him in the expendables versus him in say, red scorpion.. pretty much night and day.. and I liked red scorpion lol.
  19. why is it you cut the slack for their backup but not ours? you set some ridiculous double standards in every single one of your arguments.
  20. as freakin' if! I only sent that to some of my friends on facebook. tho, this was like 4-5 months ago.
  21. thats a good call too.. that edge though is going to be a bastard if the field is slick. wouldn't it be grand if we somehow reverse the footwear fubar of year's past? Edmonton slipping and sliding around while our guys cut on a dime lol. trying to go horizontal to vertical and vice versa can be such a bugger in slick conditions. exhibit a, Messam in calgary.
  22. oh me too, Harris and Flanders are special players no doubt. Schmoe's defense is no slouch though either.
  23. Thank ya. Hard to bang out forum posts while on the phone, punching in orders and taking customers at the counter. Please oh please forgive my grammatical gaffe.
  24. yup. my only concern is that they scheme to take them out of the equation.. I have a feeling Denmark is going to have a good game, ditto Givens.
