  1. sooooo... then its not exactly what you were saying then?? (you know, as "and" and "not" are just a weeeee bit different..)
  2. and get the added bonus of the flummoxed look on peoples faces after they read the jersey and do a double or triple take lol.. tempting.. vera tempting..
  3. yup. bobby gorgeous is one of my fave receivers of all time.. I think when I get a new jersey, its gonna be hard for me to pick between Gordon or Loffler now..
  4. still.. its something that ought to have been done in person or via a direct communication imo. regardless of if they "tried" to contact him. unless his bonus was due like, tomorrow.. then calling the next day or sending a rep down to talk to him would have been the move I would have made or expected to have seen happen.. *shrug*
  5. pretty sure you're accurate with this. Don't recall him at tackle for any extended period of time, if it was it was for emergency fill in.
  6. this. A boss should always step up and either do this in person or failing that, via phone or even skype. a text.. that just screams laziness and lack of any professionalism. Hell, even people who break up with people via text should just man up and do it civilized like.
  7. Yea I think its kind of a fool's errand to be getting upset or concerned at this point about our roster... there is so much that has yet to happen that it could drastically change of yet. The talent doesn't look that thin tho imo.
  8. best of luck to the kid. hope he sticks.
  9. yup. sure there is some gems to be found in the later rounds but why risk getting zero on a return when the potential for a first or second rounder panning out is much higher?? the logic be flawed.
  10. I guess we should thank Jones tho.. hes making it easier for the rest of league to forget how bad Kelly and Mack were as GMs.. lol
  11. well he did say approximately.. wasn't a definitive statement BUT id imagine because none of them have spoken about it or tweeted or anything relevant about it.. not to put words in his mouth but that's how I see it anyway..
  12. ...and not surprising, in a fan group on fb that I frequent... rider fans are in disbelief that other fan bases are bothered by this lol.
  13. we ignore it because he had 2 rather large reasons for missing time.. surgery and a broken hand are both kind of big deals, no? Not like he sprained an an ankle or had a bad hamstring.. honestly, can you explain to me how you feel its right to pass judgement on a players ability to play football and contribute to his team when hes physically unable to do so and when he got healthy, was limited to very little reps and touches due to being down on the depth chart? if my memory serves, he didn't look horrible in his limited time during the season or in pre-season prior to breaking his hand..
  14. I see a lot of suggestions that he IS a bad pick already.. not that he could be. that is not fair to say imo. I do agree that its make or break for him. and don't see a correlation between hes a bad pick and him not being a star or starter? seems like a pretty easy connection to make imo. I see people complaining that he hasn't done anything yet. Jade had more stats because he was able to dress for games.. how is that not making sense? ditto the other 2 picks in front of him.. come on man, this isn't rocket science here.
  15. you really can only poke the bears so many times before they snap back at you. He definitely seems to not give 2 squirts of piss as to whom he agitates.. which is so bloody weird in a small, close knit league like the CFL. you can't really burn too many bridges and expect to be a successful GM.. Some have I suppose like Mathews... but often they end up more like Mack, Kelly or Shivers.. (tho I suppose Shivers could be considered successful.. )
  16. exactly. I don't get this need to have everything in such a black and white context. there is no need for definitive states all the damn time about players lol. he may pan out, he may not.. he at least deserves a chance to prove himself one way or another.. I'm hoping he can stay healthy and showcase why we took a chance on him this year.
  17. yea good call. I didn't realize we lost tuck until the other day.. this is like for like minimum but I think its more likely an improvement. Not that Tuck was bad.. just that Miller is quite good.
  18. because there is no justifiable reason to say hes a bad pick yet. what if next season he becomes the next Claremont? the better question is why can't fans wait a bit before passing judgement or consider all factors beyond "omgz hes teh suck cuz he not star yet!" patience is really something sorely lacking around here at times. I don't get it, you would think we would all have infinite amounts of it by now.
  19. agreed 100%,. big time "glue" type guy that cfl rosters need..
  20. Bombers add ST demon Mike Miller, formerly of Edmonton Eskimos.. Lead the league in ST tackles last season
  21. and yet... I never commended Noeller for using it.. Soooo, no not really.. look, I'm not trying to be a **** or instigate a war of words.. I'm just saying that Richards hasn't had a chance to prove himself yet due to a shitty run of bad luck. Using a fellow fan's opinion of the situation (one who is pretty removed from our team and its practices and so forth) probably isn't the best reference point to lambaste some one. The kid needs a chance to prove if he is a bust or not. That should happen this season.. either way I doubt hes around if he is inadvertently hurt again at some point..
