Wasnt that "goofy" trickshot video done by the team or CFL and as such not really something to use as a slight on the guy? also, what is with you guys and this inane need to see a guy roasted in front of the camera? Do you require metaphorical blood that badly??

Not every athlete or person in general can just up and say "no more mental block!" Sometimes you need some time to decompress, refocus and learn/develop coping techniques and methods. Hes proven he can do it in his first season.. i dont see why he cant get back to that spot. Sports psychologists are becoming more and more prevelant on pro teams. Also, as mentioned, kickers are all a little kooky.. A lot like goalies in hockey.

I really hope we try to keep lirim around. Hes got a good leg and is capable of both duties IF he can get his mind right. Kickers dont forget to kick. They do, however, suffer from fragile egos and focus. If he gets his mental fortitude up, he will be a good kicker again. Id really hate it if it wasnt with us a la parades.

Swapped players and frankly i believe its a step up in talent, durability and leadership.

Sad but true.. Tho i imagine he still has a few years left in the tank..

I gotta admit, my opinion of messem changed last season. He proved he stil has something left. Dunno if he is an everyday back but would be worth a look of he came cheap and we landed harris..

Sooo why are we complaining about resigning a loyal foot soldier who plays very good special teams and is a so-so backup to all spots on our d-line again? Id imagine he came cheap and he is effective.. winnipeggers gonna winnipeg i suppose.

As soon as montreal was in the running, everyone else was an afterthought. We would have had to throw a dumb dumb sum of money to land him.

Wild and to a lesser extent newman as well could be added to the list as prized or at least sought after players that were held at gun point... Er i mean willingly decided to come play for the bombers.. Wonder if it sucks when reality clashes with a point you're attempting to make..

I like Smith too BUT I cant see him as being a #1.

keeping Nichols in blue and gold was the best, feasible option for us to have a dependable, cfl-proven backup QB. We clearly needed a backup capable of playing the game as soon as he walks on the field as opposed to learning the game more a la Marve, Davis or Brohm were in the midst (or in the midst) of doing. He has shown that he can run an offense, move the ball and be a good option in lieu of our starter.

id really like to see how Marve could have performed with a proper offense and offensive line.. brohm, he had a decent enough setup in hamilton and still stunk.. i didnt realize he stunk this badly tho, wow. I honestly felt he was going to be as capable as Brink was at least.. turned out he didn't even meet that lofty goal lol.

just noticed a goofy little issue with boards new format. if you use # in front of a number such as (#1) it tries to associate the numbers to people in the forum member list AND wont let you complete the action until you select someone.. goofy little glitch but thought worth mentioning. I couldnt type bonafide #1 receiver in a quoted reply for that reason but I can do it here..

heres hoping they dedicate some serious effort to finding a new receiver to push Moore if he is back this season.. we need a bonafide number 1 threat.

it IS a position of need as we currently field a MLB whos canadian, have rolled with SAMs as canadian and we all know safety and LB can often be interchangeable.. so I consider it as a position of need.. not AS NEEDED as say o-line or D-line.. but still it was a position we needed to strengthen.,

On what proof do you base this claim or you just being deliberately dumb? The guy played very well in spot duty and it was his first time on a CFL field. Your passing judgement way too quickly and its kind of insulting.
