Love the result yesterday and the game was exciting, I'll give you that. It was pathetic if you were a defensive fan however, and I'm not putting all that on a lack of talent on the field.

Why even worry about defence then? Just load up on O and hope we have a healthy enough QB to outscore our opponents? Dave Ritchie must be heartbroken .

I've watched every game this season and I've noticed something. Rookie QB's that had no business being this successful so early in other years absolutely kill it. Teams that had tough defence in previous years, are giving up huge chunks of real estate through the air with virtually the same personnel. Penalties against the defence are way up. Is this progress? I like offence as much as the other guy but how many more games like yesterday for example (teams not being able to be stopped offensively) do we need to see until we realize defence will never be played the way it once was in the CFL again? Not excusing our d but if coordinators don't change their tactics, its going to get even more ridiculous I would think.

At 0 - 2 the damn Riders have pulled into the lead for the top pick in next year's draft. Crap ...

The Riders defence is just about as bad as ours LOL, Eastern sweep what a shocking weekend ...

The good news is we are the 2nd highest scoring team (Hamilsmell is 1st with 75) rolling up 56 points in two games for an average of 28 points a game for. The bad news is we've given up the most points at a whopping 78, a terrible 39 points against average . I hope Willy gets back soon so we can score 40 points a game and remain in the playoff hunt

I don't know if the stamps were out all night partying but that was not the stamps team that dominated the west last year and is expected to return to the grey cup this year. Not to take anything away from the Als but they didn't beat the real stamps. Wait till next week. Huff will have them back and firing on all cylinders. And I don't see why it can't be the same for us. No travel, week of rest and practice at home, and a chance to correct some things. No reason we can't do a 180 this week... If Willy plays we're good, if not ... well ...

It was a clear head shot but the angle the defender came from (beneath Willy's chin) looked inadvertent to me. In otherwords, he was trying to get to the QB and led a bit too much with his head but I don't think he was trying to hit Willy with his helmet. There could be a case made I guess that it doesn't matter, you have to be more careful with these kind of tackles so probably you could say he was at fault and should be fined/suspended anyway ...

Hopefully a much better production than last week's stinker ...

Funny even with Broom in as our QB we still managed 26 points (although not sure how much was garbage time with the Cats big lead). Most nights at home that should get you a win. The D didn't stop Hamilton all night and the two picks didn't help. Not too much to be otomistic about on that side of the ball.
