Sooner or later the Bombers are going to have to look at replacing Stanley as he will have to retire in the not too distant future. While it's not optimal, maybe it'll be somewhat beneficial to get a guy like Randolph in there to get the experience and see if he can eventually be a guy we could count on some day. I realize there could be better games for this change to take place, but I'll be interested to see how he plays after a week of practice rather than just being thrown in there.

Starting left tackle and our spare/extra olineman who was important to many of our offensive packages on Friday night were both out of the game early. It’s a miracle we did anything on offence that game never mind the great last minute comeback drive. If we get Stanley back and a sixth o olineman for LD we’ll be much more consistent and competitive 👍🏻

Speaking of the future at QB, Terry Wilson looked pretty good during the preseason I thought. I did like his wheels and his arm seemed quite strong. Also he has good size for a QB. https://www.bluebombers.com/players/terry-wilson/166694/. Not saying he’s a Dru Brown yet, but perhaps we have a QB in waiting eventually?

The thing is, many thought Collaros was finshed back in 2019 before we got him when he was 30. Thats why we were able to trade for him. Then he somehow got back to the MOP level he was in 2021 and 2022 with us. Can he get back there at 35? He has shown some flashes but so far he hasn't been as consistent as he once was that's obvious. Are there some midigating circumstances like injuries etc? Definitely. Not comparing him, but Brett Farve came back at 39 and almost took his team to the Superbowl and then crashed the next season. Point is, veteran QB's are a gamble but they also can reap great rewards. At the start of this season after what Collaros has put ups for a resume (remember we still finished first in the West and made the Grey Cup), there was no way the Bombers were going to give his job to Dru Brown. Brown wanted to be a starter and he deserved the chance. That's the breaks. If Collaros is 37 or 38 at the start of this year, I don't doubt the team looks for a replacement.

This game is our D against theirs (plus the refs and CC of course 😁). Im not convinced their D is better than ours, so if our offence performs a bit better than Sask’s, we win. Hopefully number 20 is ready to go that will help greatly!
