  1. Screw you Winnipeg, my girlfriend wants to be a Doctor ...
  2. Why saddle Armia with two stiffs? I know Adam is our best draw man so I guess we have to live with him, but come on Maurice! Put someone on that line that can take advantage of at least 50% of the chances Armia is giving him rather than the zero currently.
  3. Little's not back until almost December and not sure if Trouba will be so this is the lineup we will roll with. They looked ticked with the outcomes of their last number of efforts (except the other night in Dallas), so here's hoping they build on this. A winnable road game coming up tomorrow!
  4. Is that Quinshad or Quicksand?
  5. Start Helle and bring the kid (Conner) back, Thorburn didn't did a damn thing ...
  6. Sean (Hands Of Stone) Matthias
  7. Kinda like Drew Stafford
  8. I guess I'll have to like this
  9. I hate to say it but this past weekend reminded me of how much the Jets are loveable losers (maybe not to the degree of the Cubs but in terms of rewarding the fan loyalty with success). The city is in love with the team but it never rewarded us for that passion. It's fitting the new team uses the slogan "fueled by passion" because it will always have fans who unconditionally love the Jets (whatever incarnation). Whether that will be rewarded with success remains to be seen.
  10. Maurice's comment about Stuart and Thorbs not getting in to play the Hertiage Classic bothered me as well. The team needs to put the best team on the ice each game. If Thorburn or Stuart play to that level so be it. If they don't, then that's a problem ...
  11. Listening to Dave Poulin on TSN he was saying in his experience, the distraction of hosting this game and the pressure and build up (international audience etc.) does play on teams before the big event. Perhaps this plus all of the youngsters, has played a bit into the team's play so far. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. If they continue to give up huge leads in all of their games you got to think something else is wrong perhaps a lack of buy in or the system itself. It will be interesting, understanding that all of the youth does factor into some of this.
  12. Yes we're young, but we still shouldn't be so unprepared to play the games (particularly our ghastly 2nd period efforts). In light of that, how much rope should Paul Maurice get?
  13. The best part about this game ... there's 75 games left to get this mess straightened out
  14. The Jets song for the last 36 years has been "We Are Not The Champions".
  15. Two bounces and a give away changed the tide of this game ...
  16. Yep, Bad Buff has been visiting too often this season.
  17. Ya, in hindsight paying all that money if the Jets get shut out would be a bummer, thank God Teemu came to play
  18. I'm concerned, the other team only has 3 goals instead of 4, perhaps the same sense of urgency won't set in
  19. Just don't give the Jets a power play
  20. No doubt it's better than the current whites just too similar but as you say, you can only do so much when so many have that colour scheme. Oilers short pushback but the Jets are doing there own pushing now ...
  21. Love the Jet's new/old jerseys but they still remind me too much of the Rangers roads ... Think it's time for a totally new take on the current uniform for a third perhaps? BTW, Jets are looking strong ...
  22. Too sunny, glare is dangerous for players, particularly goalies. No prob, the game will start at 3:53 when the sun goes behind the liquor sign (is there a hidden message in there somewhere? ) ...
  23. In a sense it's amazing to see the "hockey sense" (as the panel put it) that most of these guys still have, but the ravages age inflicts is sad to see, particularly with guys like Gretzky. Those of us who were lucky enough to see them in their prime will always have the memories of the brilliance of these players. Days like yesterday give us a little taste/reminder of the joy and warm feelings evoked by a special time in our lives, and isn't that what sport is about?
