Green is hideous. Ask any car dealer.

You want to talk about marriage and unnatural, trying to make priests celibate tops the list for me. If you look far enough back, priests could marry, the problem was they'd end up leaving all their $$$ to their heirs. Banning from them from marrying fixed that, at the expense of all the abuse it caused.

Well it does for religious people. And for those that arent religious, why should they be held to the standard of the religious? Is a marriage between two non-religious people any less of a commitment?Someone asked what the big deal was outside of the ceremonial nature of marriage. There are matters of benefits, death benefits, decision-making etc. Things of that nature. Franky I think those matters are the big deal. I also don't know why one religion would pretend to have a monopoly on the concept/term since it's been around forever under many different civilizations.

I just hope the rider fans don't tear their achilles tendons jumping off the bandwagon.

Absolutely. Within reason. If someone's religious believes are that being gay is "wrong", "immoral", "abomination", then thats not much of a religion. One can believe anything they want. There are people who believe women are lesser than men, or that black people are inferior. They have the right to that opinion. But they're still wrong. How can you 'absolutely' then immediately say otherwise? I think all those things and am people not permitted my own thoughts? What is discouraging is fake tolerance. we don't have to all agree. Heck, we dont even have to like each other. We just have to tolerate each other. I'd say whats really discouraging is bigorty not fake tolerance

I bet all my money against the Harlem Globe Trotters, I thought the Generals were due! -
I wouldnt worry about that. The updraft caused by the heat from the fire would generally lift embers up and away. Looks pretty cool, though small (hard to tell from the pic for sure though). Also, I was under the impression that firepits in the city were supposed to be covered by law? Ofcourse, most people leave them uncovered for a bigger fire but "supposed" to have a cover available There is a cover, but I don't live in the city anyway. Firepit is about 2 1/2 feet in diameter from what I remember seeing. I just thought this would be cool, cause then if I ever want to move it I can just pick it up and move it to a different spot. Price tag is $230 though. Could build a brick one for cheaper. but would it look like the firebit homer built?

I think the fact that North American Greed is somehow responsible for this is a great fallacy. Frankly I don't see how a North American can cause that by leasing a BMW, enjoying a latte or shopping at the mall. I don't think its what we value in North America that is causing that. Guess I wasn't clear, sorry, I didn't say, or mean "North American" greed. I don't consider it to be a problem only of North America. The problem of greed is world wide. One of the richest men in the world is from Thailand, he's worth fifty billion dollars. A country where you can buy anything including organs, and people. That's greed. In fact, of the first ten richest people in the world, a number of them are literally Kings of countries that are filled with paupers. All of the world's richest people are dictators. They just don't make forbes cause A) its all hidden/unverifiable Thats not what people want to read about in forbes I don't know how the pope wagging his finger at the general 1st world population does anything about that.

I think the fact that North American Greed is somehow responsible for this is a great fallacy. We didn't create the caste system in Eastern Asia. Consumerism didn't create a brutal dictator in resource rich countries that uses all his royalties to stock an army that keeps the people at bay, That is when foreign people are actually investing without fear that their investment will be nationalized with no recourse. There are poor countries that times of crisis after a natural disaster have refused non monetary aid and spend the monetary aid on the army to further oppress their people There are basic things needed in order for economic growth the occur, infrastructure, property rights, a legal and efficient banking system. Lots of countries don't have administrations that values these things. They prefer to a policy of oppression and corruption. Frankly I don't see how a North American can cause that by leasing a BMW, enjoying a latte or shopping at the mall. I don't think its what we value in North America that is causing that.

TSN broadcasting the Bomber game now?

For the number of away games I'm gonna watch, probably cheaper for me to wander over to a bar and have a few beers than to pay 70 bucks a month -

Frankly network TV should be free on the internet. Advertisers are buying our attention. Things like HBO and commercial free movie channels should be paid for obviously. One of the things that got me all pissed off was when local channels were being pissy that cable companies wern't paying them to carry their local channels. Basically asking their distributor to pay them to deliver their product. The radio is free and most channels have a listen live website. I think Network TV will eventually be the same.
