I guess it would seem odd if Higgins is throwing a challenge flag and the guy reviewing it in the command center is his former subordinate. The clash with a ref would be amusing because a year removed from that Higgins would be the authority on Rules and now he's arguing them. He could be fined for questioning a call in the media when a year earlier he's the man incharge of questioning a call. I think moving from officiating to football ops is a different move than from one football ops to the other. I assume the director of officaiting hires the ref's or is involved with it so it could work out that a ref Higgins has hired ends up officiating a game he coaches. Not saying its the end of the world but it's a little off.

I get that he resigns in full and everything, it just seems unusual. I guess one guy owns 2 teams so nothing is really out of the ordinary in the CFL.

It’s kind of funny how the guys paid to assess the coaches and GM's are washouts or never were's. Ford's draft board is pretty bad. Dunnigan can run down a coaching decision but was a pretty big failure as a coach. Lapo is analyzing coaches and GM's and his first attempt as a HC was very unsuccessful. Hate to say it but Climie seems like a smart guy so who knows what he could accomplish but I can't even see shultz as a positional coach let alone a HC or GM. The CFL Media isn't exactly full of Madden's or Ditka’s

Obviously a defensively minded head coach can work if you have a strong OC, No one is calling for Chamberlins or Benvedies (sp) head right now or saying they shouldn't have been hired.

Looking at Calgary's roster they have been bitten pretty hard by the injury bug too. Esp if Mitchell is starting. No excuses for a ppor showing.

4.3 is fast for a returner or cb let alone a qb. I'm not calling you a liar, but do you have a link for that? that's like Michael Vick in his prime or RG3 speed.
