I agree to some extent but I still think not going anywhere on a punt return isn't is bad as not fielding a kick in the air. There just isn't any excuse for that. That being said fumbles are still the biggest sin.

he was getting some work on the sideline but didn't seem to be on the table for very long and was standing around after that so I would be surprised if he was very hurt.

I think Montreal and Hammy both have some Oline issues and the new offense in MTL helped us out a lot. I don't think we can keep this torrid pace up. Maybe teams will put in extra blockers and it'll be easier for the guys in coverage though.

I think you are confusing "establishing the run" with having better run production. Teams want to "establish the run" so that linebackers cheat up to the LOS and they start worrying about running in the secondary and it opens up the passing game. Establishing the run makes play action more of a threat etc. By that definition the Bombers "established the run" before even running a play because teams are scheming to take the run away already. They need better run production so that they can be in more manageable second down situations, convert more and all that good stuff but they don’t need to establish anything when it comes to running. If teams were dropping extra guys into coverage to take away the passing game they would be daring us to run and we would need to "establish the run" to get the desired effects listed in the first paragraph but they aren't doing that. What we need to do is beat the blitz in the air or via creative run scenarios. You establish the run to get 8 guys in the box not vise versa. I look forward to being called an idiot though.

i'm not implying that at all my point is that Matthews has seen bad throws and also catchable balls and hasn't come down with most of the catchable balls like he did last year. We need more from pierce but we need more from Matthews too. My second point is that Denmark clearly played pretty shitty if the coach says he didn't once beat man coverage. Hard to compare a QB to a WR as apples to apples but to suggest we got worse play from the QB than we did from a WR that didn't beat his coverage once is laughable.

with Renuad as the backup Canadian Reciever? I think Pierce might actually play some slot back as he said he was looking forward to using the waggle. Maybe Jade gets put back in the boundry WR and they let pierce play SB. They might also have woodson backup some as a WR, he can block well and apparently run's a lot of routes in practice. Lets hope the new returner is lightning in a bottle, we're going to need it.
