I don't have much of an opinion either way, as I first knew he existed approx. three days ago. Hopefully he's really good. I feel some confidence that Wally wanted him as an import.

We gave up a 1st. Just saw it on twitter.

Where Does Babcock Land?
sweep the leg replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
It apparently takes $6M for Babcock to rescind his "I just want to win" criteria fromhis checklist. -
Trouba's pretty inconsistent. He had some ugly games this season, he just got more of a pass for it b/c he's still really young. There's no question in my mind Trouba is more valuable to us long term, but I think the question is more "why can't we have both?" It's hard to argue this property b/c we have no idea what he's asking for, or what the Jets are willing to give him.

Is that what I said you diva? No it's not. I said Buff is not 3rd on the depth chart and there is no evidence to the contrary. And he didn't just play more in the playoffs, he played more all season. Just because you wish something was true really, really hard, doesn't make it so. I love that you read every thing I write and yet are so angry and bitter! hahahahaha It's what you implied. If you have nothing to add, why bother? I even went to the trouble of getting the information YOU mentioned. Try common sense. It might help with your poor attitude and make for a more enjoyable experience here. He didn't imply it, you inferred it. All he did was point out you're making up depth charts and arguing them as fact.

Antoine Vermette got the same return that you think Buff is worth.

Buff has much more value than Boychuk did going into last season. For one, Boston had no choice but to deal players away b/c of the cap. For another, Boychuk had a career high of 23 points before his season with the Islanders.

There are positives and negatives to that, to be honest. I'd love it, personally - provided the stream was actually done properly. But I can see why a lot of people wouldn't. I'd like it to. I go to max one TC practice a year, so I'd probably see more of it with a live stream.

I don't see Cotton losing the job out of camp. I think the only uncertainty regarding rb is if we use Normand as the backup or DI a second import.

Russian Ice Hockey Federation will be punished b/c the team left the ice before the Canadian anthem. Full credit to Ovechkin, who was apparently trying to make his teammates stay.

Brad Richards is just about finished. I'd take Ward for sure. I love his game. He'd fit right in with our style of play.

Of course they're not, but he asked which one I'd want.

How happy are you with Walters' Draft work?
sweep the leg replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
You can't honestly believe we took a guy #11 overall b/c of spite? That's so ridiculous I don't know how to respond to it. -
My first round. I think Demski goes to Ottawa at #10 unless we trade up for him. 1. Ottawa - Mateas 2. Winnipeg - Chung 3. Toronto - McEwen 4. Montreal - Durant 5. BC - Ruby 6. Sask - Groulx 7. Edmonton - Ackie 8. Hamilton - Lavoie 9. Calgary - Waud

Other than Mayweather's retirement fight, I can't think of any fight that will draw mainstream attention for boxing Canelo who lost to mayweather at 22 is the next big thing. Dont think team money would fight him again. He just boxed this weekend in an amazing 3 round fight, more action in a round than may vs pac. Check out the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LehQX1bbGQk#t=12 Yeah, I know who he is. I follow boxing casually, and actually saw his fight with Mayweather. It's too bad he couldn't have had a few more fights before that much of a step up in opponent. His fight with Kirkland was a million times more exciting than Mayweather-Pac. The Russian guy, GGG, is pretty good too. Those are about the only current names I pay any attention to now. I'd love to see Mayweather fight GGG, but I'm not sure he'd want to go up another weight class. I think Alvarez will be hugely popular with Mexican fight fans, but I don't think he'll ever reach the Pac or Mayweather level of popularity with mainstream NA audiences.

I think they keep #2 and look to trade up for a second 1st rounder. It's also possible they don't do that. I have no idea...
