  1. Uh.. I beg to differ on "most other people". Rabid snap-judgment making Winnipeg Sun comment section denizens don't constitute "most people". I have a lot of people I know who follow the jets and for every Hutchinson fan, there is 4 or 5 Pavlevec supporters. You don't think a majority of Jets fans think Hutchinson is our best goalie? I disagree, although I haven't run a poll of my friends to confirm this.
  2. Fantastic news that he'll be back for the game in Winnipeg. I have tickets for that one.
  3. BS penalty by a thin-skinned ref. Buff gives him a dirty look and the guy shits his pants. He knocked the puck away from the linesman when he was bent over to pick it up. The ref saw it and called the penalty.
  4. Buff's penalty at the end of regulation was brutal. That's the kind of crap teenagers in house league pull.
  5. I'd put both Petan and Morrissey in the minors next year, at least to start the season. We're in a position where we don't have to rush them into the lineup.
  6. Nor would I. IMO he'll be a better value than the big names based on a $ / receiving yards basis.
  7. Agreed. I don't think he'll put up 1300-1400 like he did in his prime, but I won't be shocked if he flirts with a 1k season.
  8. I like the way they're using our goalies, mostly b/c it's been working for us. Pavelec has proven that he can't handle the starter's job as a full time gig, and Hutchinson hasn't really proven anything yet. There's no need to push the role on him yet.
  9. Putting those numbers into context would help you sort it out. Pavelec has more starts b/c he began the season as the unquestioned starter. He's now lost that role and is getting fewer starts in a rotation where the other guy is on the opposite trajectory.
  10. His 40 time is better than the db we just signed.
  11. Kohlert is our best Canadian receiver. WIth the exception of the home opener, Watson did virtually nothing last season. He played 11 games and had over 30 yards receiving in three of them. I've stopped hoping he'll become what we thought he could be. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get any production out of him this year.

  13. They all cheat -- so in that respect, "cheating" isn't really cheating, it's keeping up! That's the sad fact but Lewis was looked on in America as a superstar & a hero. It's really too bad he was never caught. He was never caught but he did confess not too long ago that he was using steroids back then. He actually was caught several times earlier but they swept it under the rug. Watch the 30 for 30, its very good. 30 for 30 was very good. Something like all but one of the runners in that race eventually got busted.
  14. Play Hutchinson in Chicago b/c he's been lights out there in two games already. They'll be splitting games anyways, so go with the hot hand.
  15. I'm not sure that Groulx would drop that far, but I agree that there should still be a good OL available at 11 if we took Waud first.
  16. I'd still take Jokinen over Halischuk or Peluso... Meh. At least Peluso can fight. Jokinen is pretty much done doing anything at an NHL level.
  17. You can come to my house and watch it on pvr. Can I come? I have hot dogs. You're in.
  18. You can come to my house and watch it on pvr.
  19. I still think we would have been better off re-signing Jokinen.
  20. TUP, do you promote CWE Wrestling? It's going to be in my old hometown soon and I was just wondering if it was your show. Might have to go to seee Big Poppa Pump.
  21. Rob Vabstone on H & L right now. Says Hall's on his way to Winnipeg as they speak. Sounds like it's done.
  22. This is THE story of the off season. I nominate you to follow the brewing O'Shea vs Hall fight and keep us updated as things progress.
  23. Benevedes apparently has turned both teams down.
  24. I certainly hope not. I'd have no interest in either one of those guys.
  25. I think it'd be an okay decision. Both are nice guys, but too mellow. I still think keeping Morley around as a 6th or 7th OL would be smart, with all the injuries the past few years on the OL. Morley is Canadian, reliable and versatile. I don't get that argument about January. He was the only guy who would do anything when something would happen to our qb.
