  1. This is a pretty over-the-top level of drama for a team that lost 2 one-goal games in a row against 2 of the better teams in the league. Some deep breaths should be taken. Pavelec has the 11th best gaa in the league among starters, so if by regressed you mean gotten much better, then yes. The team needs to score more goals. It has the 3rd fewest in the league. Despite that they sit 16th overall in the league. If this team simply maintains everything about it's current level of play and improves the powerplay from second-worst in the league to average, it is probably good enough to make the playoffs. Tim Stapleton once played an entire season here. You seriously think this is just more of the same? It's okay to be disappointed by a loss, but we should still keep our wits about us. Agreed. I'll save panic time for if we struggle through our next five games. That's a pretty weak stretch of opponents who we should be able to string some wins up against. What made you choose Stapleton as your example? We've had players on our team that were worse than him, like that plug we traded to the Habs for example.
  2. Turner's a good reporter/writer, but his twitter feed is all about terrible jokes, several of them at the expense of the Bombers. I stopped following him about a week after I started following him. As for the Leggett tweet, I'm truly outraged/happy/indifferent depending on what he's actually talking about.
  3. That sucks. He was very close to the top of my FA wishlist. Poblah I mean, not Westerman.
  4. Thankfully he's still relatively young and has enough time to make a lot of money in his career. If nothing else, it's good to see his parents publicly shamed for this. Hopefully there's something criminal in this situation so they can be charged and or sued. Young athletes being taken advantage of by their families is by no means a new story. Ryan Howard is going through the same thing right now. The only difference is he caught on to what was happening before he lost everything.
  5. Whatever happened to Schmockey Night in Winnipeg?
  6. I agree it does, and good for them for doing it. Let the management group worry about the fans. For a team as besieged by their fans and media as they are, that probably felt great for them. So if the Jets were to do something similar here because a group of fans were acting stupid that you weren't a part of, you'd be fine with it even after dropping $500 for a couple of seats, beer, and popcorn. Pat them on the back and say way to show them. Yes. I'd have paid all that money to watch them play, not raise their sticks in an empty gesture that means nothing to me...or them. It's certainly not an "unacceptable snub" when they stop doing it.

  8. Is there a team in the league that has a former rb as their rb coach? Some teams don't even have a rb coach, or others where it's a part time job.
  9. I'd take Smith & Hamilton for Kane. I doubt the Bruins would have any interest in that though. I think they'd be crazy to trade Hamilton.
  10. Just saw a tweet that the options weren't picked up for Marsh or Khalif Mitchell.
  11. Busy little beaver, that Walters. I'm pretty sure he's a human. He has big teeth and brown hair, but no tail. It's a toss up...
  12. Chamblin misspoke and Lawless is a fat, useless, **** disturber. That seems to be how it's explained away. Dismissing a reporter saying it is one thing, but your own coach saying it is pretty damning.
  13. Wonder if Hootie comes back if we hire Khari in the offseason?
  14. It's cute how important you think you are.
  15. I think I've seen a Ryan jersey or two floating around. I've got a Cameron jersey I bought in 2000.
  16. Did he ever post here?
  17. Crompton is the CFL version of Trent Dilfer. Don't do anything stupid to interfere with the defense winning you games. To his credit, he's not doing anything stupid to lose them games. It'll be interesting to see how he does next season without Duron Carter.
  18. I don't buy that it was laziness either. They played an evening game, travelled from Nashville to Minneapolis, got to their hotel after 1am, then had to play an afternoon game. I'm very impressed they took a point out of this game. I didn't like the decision to play Pavelec for all of the above reasons.
  19. Putin has backed himself into a corner in Ukraine with no easy way out. Their economy is crashing b/c of the sanctions slapped on them due to the invasion, but if he pulls out now he'll look weak. He's spent the better part of the last year telling Russians that Fascists are running roughshod over their "brothers" in Ukraine and compared the protests to the Nazis invading Poland. How do you back out after convincing his supporters he's saving the World?
  20. My argument isn't just about Demski b/c I don't know if he's the second best player in the draft or not. My point is that if he is the second best player in the draft we should take him second overall.
  21. Not the greatest football I've ever seen being played today.
  22. Yes. He was actively costing his team games this year and hired an OC he had to fire in preseason. He decision making is embarrassing. He'd be well down the list of coaches I'd choose from Montreal's staff.
  23. Brink is worse, so he's no lower than 2nd worst.
  24. Bear Woods is a pending UFA this offseason. Wouldn't he look good in our D?
  25. Trestman to BC next year? Seems like both will be in tough to keep their jobs this offseason.
