  1. Tough on him to brush off his success as all on the players, but make no mention of the talent he had to work with here his second go around when he struggled. He made Jyles look respectable in 2010. Nobody else has been able to do that before or since.
  2. I'm not a huge Allen fan, but that's ridiculous. I hope it was said for shock value only.
  3. The Free Press noted that Brohm has moxie, so that makes things interesting. Do you put more stock in moxie or the "it" factor? I remember back in the old days when almost everybody thought Willy had both moxie and the "it" factor. Willy had the disadvantage of having to go back out and prove it week after week though. It's harder to deify a qb that way. PL, you're daydreaming or something if you think Willy doesn't have the "it" factor. Let's look back to the time that Willy came out and replaced Durant in 2012 only to kick our asses throwing for 188 yards and a TD strike. I bet everyone thought he had the "it" factor back then. Some of you guys are just out in the clouds when you've only seen these guys play 1 half of a football game. I was making fun of people using terms like it factor and moxie like they actually mean something. You've got me lumped in with the wrong group of people. I'm in the "you're crazy if you think Willy has lost his job" crowd.

  5. Agreed. I've been a fan of his since camp.
  6. Willy's first quarter of playing time as a Bomber was better than Marve's. Given the value we're putting on that amount of playing time, Willy is the better qb.
  7. I thought that about our D when I looked at the depth chart. Other than missing Anderson at DT, this is probably the best defensive lineup we've put on the field. No excuses on that side of the ball tomorrow. I won't say that about our O though.
  8. Willy's been pretty bad the last couple of weeks. It seems clear to me that he's not comfortable in the pocket any more, not that I blame him. Brohm hasn't been beaten up like Willy, so he doesn't have the happy feet yet. That's why I thought he looked better than Willy last week. Hopefully he does well.
  9. Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 6m6 minutes ago Tomorrow is walkthrough, and the #Bombers starting O-line appears to have two new guys: LT Jace Daniels & RG Matthias Goossen. January MIA.
  10. January has been horrific this year and has zero trade value at this point in time. I've read/heard that he's been injured for most of the season though. He's been pretty good the last few seasons, so I believe there must be something up for him to be so bad this year.
  11. Why would it be up to O'Shea to tell the media about the RCMP/closed practice issue? Isn't that Darren Cameron's job?
  12. Link to O'Shea press conference http://www.bluebombers.com/live-press-conference
  13. Shitting on your teammates is a quick way to lose your job. Good riddance.
  14. Crombeen drops his mitts and punches Slater 4 times in the head, only to get 2 minutes for roughing. That's crazy...
  15. Cutting the GST rate by 5% was their way to justify future spending cuts. Most people wouldn't support spending cuts on government programs if the books were balanced. As a result, they dropped the GST. When gov't revenues became too low to support their obligations, they had their reason to begin slashing spending.
  16. Jan Hooks died today.
  17. Cotton's debut featured everything but his pants falling down. Hopefully he handles himself a little better this week.
  18. Kromah had the chance to take his job and couldn't do it. Kromah was leaps and bounds better than Kuale. What specifically made him better? We had the ball rammed down our throats in two of his three games played.
  19. Kromah had the chance to take his job and couldn't do it.
  20. Lots of chirping over there with the Cats fan. Have you forgotten your last playoff meeting with us? That seems relevant to this topic.
  21. I'm voting for Bowman. I like his idea to replace property taxes. Now if Selinger would take over the school taxes we'd be set. Steeves is the worst kind of politician. He'll say anything to get elected.
  22. New Poll out today showing Federal Liberals slipping. Thats bad news for them as there is really no reason their big lead should be evaporating so quickly. But everytime Trudeau opens his mouth, more people realise he's all hat, no cattle. They've horribly mangled their message on Iraq & ISIS. I'm sure that's what's causing the slip.
  23. I don't think that's true unless we're paying him an obscene amount of money. We won't get much value for him, but I have to believe he'd be worth a mid-round pick. I agree January has no trade value though. He makes a lot of money and hasn't been very good this season. I'm not sure how many teams he'd be an upgrade for.
  24. That's what lazy comedians do. The good ones can be funny in a variety of different ways. I think in Farleys case he really did get typecast way too much. The man had his problems in life but he was a hell of a talent Was he? What roles did he play other than the funny fat guy doing pratfalls? I thought he was hillarious, but there wasn't a lot of depth to anything he did.
  25. Agreed. This reasoning also applies to him grabbing good to great qbs from teams who scouted those guys but watched them become all-stars on another team.
