Procul Harem - Whiter Shade of Pale

From what I've read from you, "hipster" is used to describe anything you don't like...
-
Jon Stewart has a pretty good record of hiring funny people. Not many people go on to fail after leaving his show.
-
Isn't that more on the GM than the coach?
-
McKinnon and Thompson for sure. I'm not 100% sold on the other two though. "What's up with that" was good stuff. This year is Thompson's last. apparently those reports weren't true and he might not leave. That's good. I'm a fan.

I have a ridiculous crush on Vanessa Bayer...no idea why #TooManyTeeth But she is a REALLY funny chick. The ladies on the show right now are the funniest collection they've had since Molly Shannon, Ana Gasteyer, Cheri Oteri, etc... She plays the same character in most skits. She's just ok imo. Disgree re eras of woman. Fey, Pohler, Dratch, & Rudolph was the best era for women on SNL. Kristen Wiig is great too, but she came in at the end of that era. I never got the appeal of Molly Shannon. I found her annoying more than funny.

QB Status - Willy to Start Saturday

That's the worst kind of climax. -
Absolutely. Other than this past season, it was at it's best since the Will Ferrell years. Digital shorts were some of the best work SNL has ever had. This song about the US gov't shutdown was fantastic...
-
I agree with this, although that 6th D spot is pretty wide open. There are 4-5 guys who could legitimately win that job and I'm not sure it will be Morissey who gets it.

QB Status - Willy to Start Saturday

Maybe he was just being a ***** shaking his hand like that every time he bumped it? If he was really tough, we wouldn't even know about the injuries he's dealing with. -
They don't pay them more than room & board, so I don't feel sorry for the CHL if they don't have the chance the make money off them for two extra years. At minimum, I'd like to see the 2nd year after they're drafted removed from the CHL's control.
-
That's great. Not sure how it shows what he can do without Drouin, but great nonetheless. I'm sure nobody will be opposed to keeping him around If he shows he can be a legit top 9 forward . If he can't fill that role he needs to go back though.
-
Or just not use the player in that role if he doesn't have the ability to do it.

Ehlers could be a Patrick Kane kinda guy. There is nothing left for him to learn in Halifax. He's going to be a superstar in the NHL, better sooner than later ;-). I hope they all get a very good look. Because he looked good in a rookie tournament? Come on now. I don't disagree that Ehlers has a lot of potential, but to suggest there's nothing left to learn in the CHL is just crazy. Staying in juniors has never ruined a prospect. Especially one who is on the smaller side. Nothing wrong with letting him bulk up and work on some things against his peers. Eberle isn't the best comparable since I think Ehlers is a better skater, but Eberle was certainly not hurt by finishing his junior career even if he probably could have played in the NHL right away. No because of his body of work last year in Halifax And staying juniors too long can hamper development, that's a fact. I'd like to see him here if he can make the cut. Like I said every player is different. Size never hurt Kane, Giroux or St Louis and they haven't exactly bulked up have they? Name just one player who hampered their development staying in junior. Just one. Ehlers would only be in his 2nd year in the Q too.
-
Agreed. If nothing else, it would show if he can be that dominant without Jonathon Drouin on his line.
-
I don't mind Ehlers going back to Junior, but it really sucks we can't send Petan & Morrissey to the minors if they don't make the Jets. Morrissey has already shown he can play at the AHL level. Junior would be a big step back.

Rumour: Mike O'Shea has quit on the team.
-
Absolutely not. It's his throwing shoulder. Need to take a long term approach to this. Depends if any permanent damage can be done. If not, and it's just a pain threshold issue, I might play him.

Chris Jones versus Michael O'Shea

Kelly is 12th in receiving. No excuse is needed for keeping him on the roster. -

We're talking about American rookies. -

I'd throw Stoudemire in that mix too. He went to camp with the Riders, but he'd never played a CFL game before. That's 4 good rookies. How many are expected for one season? -
Clean hit, but Emry still finds a way to be a **** by celebrating after seeing Mitchell is hurt.

Paris Cotton moved to practice roster
sweep the leg replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Agreed. Our complaining is what raised his game. He actually came over to my house with some freshly baked muffins and apologized to me for not playing the way I wanted him to. What did he bring you? Back rub. With strong hands like that it's no wonder he doesn't fumble. -

Agreed. Our complaining is what raised his game. and by our complaining you of course mean that his game picked up shortly after Mike O'Shea said in a half time interview that the team was playing too soft right? Methinks MOS told him to grow a set and run like a man and he listened. I thought my sarcasm was obvious.
