  1. I think a few vet DB's may be on the bubble. Suber, Dunn, and Banks looked pretty craptastic out there. I highly doubt Banks is on the bubble, same with Suber. I'd be less surprised to see Suber cut, but I don't think either have lost their job yet.
  2. Garvin is the first name I think of. He's hopelessly out of place as a db, & he did very little as a returner. I didn't think Fraser looked bad. I'm suprised at the number of people who have singled him out.
  3. Agreed. I agree with most of the names other people are throwing out for who looked good. I'll add that I thought Morley looked good at centre. He made a big block that sprung Cotton for his big run. I also thought Neufeld looked ok at RT. IMO he looked better than Jones did. I also thought Derek Jones looked good. I'm not sure he was ever thrown at, but he always seemed to be close to his man, or at least he did when I was watching him.
  4. Which of his tweets today can be considered trolling? He's giving his opinion, which is pretty much his job.
  5. Isn't that Mike with the shades? One of my favourite gifs ever. Such a loser...
  6. Oz was really good, or at least I thought it was when I watched it back then. I'd be interested in watching it again to see how well it's held up over time.
  7. I heard we're not dressing any Canadian OL tonight.
  8. January's dad had a heart attack. That's why he wasn't on the field yesterday.
  9. I was watching camp shirtless & bathed in baby oil. I'd wink and bounce my pecs when they looked in my direction.
  10. NHL Old Boys Club working here. Not at all. He said at his press conference that he'll only be there for two or three years at most. He's basically there to mentor Jason Botterill until he's ready for the job. Botterill is only 38.
  11. I don't think it is up for debate that the Bombers were interested in both Burris and Collaros, since they made offers to both. They didn't sign either one, so whether that is "losing out" on them or not is really just a matter of semantics. This is a topic that hasn't been debated nearly enough.
  12. Watched for about an hour or so this morning: -I was sitting near the media today. Knuckles asked "Freezer" if he was going to write something postive today. They all just laughed... -Willy & Hall look significantly better than the other qbs. I thought Hall looked the best, but they were close. Like what JesseJames said, Willy had two bad underthrows to wide open receivers in the endzone, but otherwise looked ok. -I think Hall's arm looks stronger this season. It's still clearly the weakest of them all, but the other guys all have very strong arms. I thought he had decent zip on his intermediate (20ish yards) throws. Not a cannon by anyways, but very passable. -Aaron Woods does seem to be getting open, but has a weird habit of stopping & then jumping for the ball. -Nick Moore looks good. Got open on a blitz play and had nobody between him & the goal line. Would have been a long td if they finished the play -Our D looks like Montreal's did last season. They're all on the line prior to the snap. It's looks confusing... -Cotton looks fast. Thought he looked better than Grigsby, but there's not much contact on the rbs so it's hard to tell for sure -Kelly had two drops & a fumble while I was there -Robertson & another db got lit into by a coach after a td pass. I'm not sure what they did wrong though, as it was another db who was covering the guy that scored Edit: -Kim Babij-Geisel & Sarah Orlesky are fairly hot in person. -We have a lot of fatties on our coaching staff
  13. You're in the middle of a debate about it, so that probably means there is.
  14. I'll give you overpriced, but I think the food's very good. plus their house beer is pretty solid too. I forgot about that. What is it called? I had one, but I can't remember if I liked it or not.
  15. I'll give you overpriced, but I think the food's very good.
  16. No, that's not it. The place I'm thinking of is a fair ways South down St. Mary's Rd. Two restaurants come to mind. Chianti's and Santa Anna. Santa Anna's has about 12 tables so I'm putting chips down on Chianti's. It was Santa Anna. I thought it was smaller than that, but I only went in to pick up my pizzas so I didn't spend much time in there. Either way, it was delicious.
  17. Pretty much exactly how it went. Knuckles was mad at how unprofessional the organization was. It appeared the board was leaking the story so the Bombers would have no choice but to can Mack.
  18. No, that's not it. The place I'm thinking of is a fair ways South down St. Mary's Rd.
  19. Havent been to Market, but comparing Burgers at these places: Montanas Earls Joeys Boston Pizza Moxies Joey's a nose a head of Moxies. Both very good burgers. The Kahuna Burger at Original Joe's is my favourite. Pineapple in a hamburger is a brilliant idea.Of the ones you listed, I'd go with Moxies, but I've never been to Joey's before.
  20. Funny Applebee's story: I went there with a few people after a Bomber game a few years ago. I ordered a beer then went to the washroom. When I walked in there was a guy on all fours in a stall violently puking. In between heaves he warned me not to order the nachos.
  21. I like Luxalune on Osborne. Lots of variety in their beer selection and they have good appetizers. I've never had an actual full meal there before. I'm not 100% sure they even do more than appetizers. Kings Head is another favourite. My wife works approx. 2 blocks away, so we go there for lunch often. Lunch menu is pretty cheap and good beer selection. In my experience: Best nachos: Carlos & Murphy's Best pizza: Santa Lucia, although there's a place on St. Mary's whose name escapes me, that was also very good. It was very small, maybe 6 tables in the entire place. Best wings: Tony Roma's. I friggin' love them. They have a lot of cheap nights too. Best ribs: Montana's. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I've been to quite a few rib joints around the city & I thought they had the best. Famous Dave's is grossly overrated. Maybe I went to soon after they opened and they hadn't got their stuff together yet, but I was unimpressed. I haven't been to Lovey's yet, so my rating could change.
  22. Well Danny is 48 so I guess so! Wonder if his body could hold up for a whole season.... Is that the same injury he had last season? I hope not, b/c it would suck to have your career possibly ended by a cheapshot. Not that there's a good way to end your career to an injury, but still...
  23. Oh wait you were serious... Let me laugh even harder. If the Kings want out from Richards contract they'll find a taker and I'd be shocked if it wasn't a better return than having to retain salary to pick up a KHL player. I don't know, that's a pretty ugly contract. He's been trending down the last three seasons and his contract pays him a lot of money until he's 35.
  24. Naylor said 7 of 9 teams' votes are in & it's 98% in favour of striking.
