Right, my mistake, they are household names.... Markstrom is a pretty well known name. A couple of years ago he was being touted as the next big thing in net. Dominated in Europe before he came over here and became mediocre.

Markstrom, Matthias, & a 1st round pick for Luongo, Schneider, & a couple $million/yr is retained salary. How much longer does Gillis keep his job?

Exactly. Who knows what they mean by equitable. Until we hear about their first offer I wouldn't just assume that they're more than happy to hand it over to the players.

Drunkeness and schizophrenia aren't comparable. You only get to choose one of those options.

He chose to not take his meds? I didn't know that, I thought he was just undiagnosed prior to the crime. To me that's the biggest thing. I don't remember the whole story, but if you choose to go off your meds you should never see freedom again. If he was undiagnosed, it's an entirely different situation. I would still never let him go completely unsupervised though. Make him check in every night to ensure he takes his meds would be my solution.

I dare say Bluto does not share your opinion of his performance in Toronto. was surprised he made another teams roster, let alone an active player. he was only ever a depth guy on our "injury list". when we finally had enough actual injuries an were forced to call him into service, he immediately showed that we'd be better off giving someone else his spot. I think I remember you giving him a better review than that we he first came here. Not glowing by any means, but IIRC you considered him at least serviceable. I'd search for the post but 1) I think all traces of you have been removed from OB, & 2) I don't care enough.

Boatmen was serviceable in 2012, but terrible last year. I read he'll likely retire b/c of all the injuries he went through last season.

I wouldn't expect to find any accurate or relevant scouting reports, this guy is 27 years old and hasn't played meaningful football in almost 7 years. I'm not even 100% convinced that he's signed a contract. Sounds more like he was invited to another free agent camp or to the mini-camp down south. I'm surprised the media isn't complaining yet about the mini-camp being held in the States...Edmonton sure got raked over the coals for doing that last year. Wasn't the biggest issue with what Edmonton did that they didn't even tell the media about it until it was already over?

Just curious ... who did you have in mind? I didn't have anyone in particular in mind. I just assume there will be a CFL learning curve for Dahlquist and I wonder if a guy, who would be the players great grandfathers age, will be able to connect with our young QB's. Somebody needs to check the math on this one...

Agreed. Seems to me he defended some guy accused of being a racist, and in turn was called a racist himself...? It's a riveting tale filled with many twists and turns. That and he doesn't control what other people say to him. That sounds like a pretty standard twitter exchange.

Have to admit I did. I just really didn't see a role with the team next year where his paycheque would be warranted. I did too. He's been surpassed by younger guys (Moore & Denmark). Great guy, great player, & he represented the Bombers well throughout his career with us.
