  1. This guy's youtube account is pretty solid.
  2. http://www.cjob.com/2014/03/28/bombers-beef-up-roster/ The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added a quartet of import players. Wide Receivers Austin Coleman and Michael Ray Garvin, along with Linebacker Gerald McRath, and Defensive End Damario Jeffery. Coleman is a 5-8, 180 pound receiver/kick returner, and played four seasons at St. Francis University (NAIA) from 2009 to 2012. He played 45 games in his collegiate career, grabbing 117 passes for 1,875 yards and 21 TDs. His eight kickoff return touchdowns is an all-time NAIA record. He averaged 32.1 yards per return, which also is a Division record, and twice returned kicks for 100+ yards. He went undrafted in 2013 and was signed by the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. After their acquisition of Percy Harvin, Coleman was released and moved on to play for the Saginaw Sting of the Continental Indoor Football League. With Saginaw, he has had 12 receptions for 108 yards and 4 TDs. Garvin is a 5-8, 198 pound kick returner/receiver. He played four seasons at Florida State and a total of 47 games. Garvin also doubled as a cornerback on defence but was primarily an important kickoff returner for the Seminoles, leading the team in 2006. His finest college season came in 2008 when he became the only player in school history to average more than 30 yards per attempt. He was second in the nation in kickoff returns and was named to the All-Conference Second Team, and an All-American by Sporting News and SI.com. His 1,721 career kickoff return yards remains a school record. Garvin went undrafted in 2009 but signed immediately with the Arizona Cardinals where he was converted to wide receiver. Failing to catch on in Arizona, Michael Ray moved on to the Detroit Lions Practice Squad in 2010. He has also played for the Las Vegas Locomotives and Texas Revolution. McRath is a 6-3, 230 pound linebacker who played in the NFL from 2010 to 2011 and a total 40 games for the Tennessee Titans. Spent the 2012 season with the Titans but did not play due to a knee injury. Across his three active years, McRath made 79 solo tackles and assisted on 33 others, to go with 1.5 sacks and one interception. He started 12 NFL games in 2009 and 2010 before moving to special team duties in 2011. McRath’s career-best performance came on October 31, 2010 when he recorded 10 tackles against the San Diego Chargers, and in 2010 had four game with five or more stops. McRath was selected by Tennessee in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft (#130 overall) after a three-year career at Southern Mississippi. He was twice named to the All-Conference USA First Team (2007-2008). Jeffery is a 6-3, 240 pound pass rushing defensive end. Damario played four seasons at South Carolina and a total of 50 games with five starts. Jeffery was born in Columbia, South Carolina – the home of the Gamecocks – and stayed at home to play SEC football. He also played spur linebacker and compiled 77 tackles. He was a key contributor on special teams throughout his college career with South Carolina. He played in the 2010 Chick-Fil-A Bowl game for South Carolina against Florida State and logged four tackles. Jeffery went undrafted in 2013 and was immediately signed by the Carolina Panthers in April 2013.
  3. What's Ladd doing wrong as a captain that makes you think he should be replaced? What makes the other three better options? Putting the C on Scheifele would be a huge mistake IMO. I'm ok with putting the C on a young guy if it's a young, developing team around him (Crosby, Toews for example). It's different with the Jets though. We've got a handful of quality vets on the team, so we don't need to burden Scheifele with the added pressure of trying to be the team leader.
  4. I'd strongly considering pulling the trigger on a Kane for Hamonic & Strome trade. I'm not sure the Islanders would do that though.
  5. It's too easy to paint everybody with the same brush like that. It's very frustrating to watch him take wrist shots from just inside the blue line on a nightly basis. He has the skill level to be one of the best in the NHL, but he's not close. I'm not advocating to trade him just for the sake of trading him though. If we can't get a big haul, I wouldn't do it.
  6. I think Hamonic would have to be included in any big deal like the OP suggested. He's exactly what we need on this team.
  7. Maybe we should just be happy that Migs hasn't resurfaced here yet. He's signed up on TEP.
  8. I can see both sides of the argument. If you're making millions, it's probably fair to expect you to make some personal sacrifices for your job. He'll be giving his family a pretty good life thanks to his choosen profession. On the other hand, if he wants to go and the team's ok with, why should I care?
  9. That's flawed logic. The trade was only a bad one if we have to give up more than what we got for our 2nd rounder.
  10. Was there an incident that was a tipping point for this, or you've just had enough of it?
  11. no YOU'RE dumb... It's "your" dumb, Einsteen!
  12. Anybody who doesn't think the worst Bomber home game of all time was the 2009 Banjo Bowl is crazy. Never had a worse gameday experience in my life. I do agree though that the Boltus experience vs BC was really bad. Count me in as a Max Hall fan as well. I'm comfortable with him as a backup. If Glenn was cut, or the asking price was reasonable, I'd bring him in, but what the redblacks are asking for now is crazy.
  13. Agreed. Getting rid of the option year window was a big mistake. I find it surprising that the CFL big thinkers thought it was a good idea.
  14. Farhan Lalji says it's to pursue NFL opportunites.
  15. He's a terrible interviewer. He doesn't know how to ask a proper question. He starts almost everything with "Tell me about..." rather than asking an actual question. Lawless is too agressive and gets caught up in his own ramblings. He'll lose what he's taking about when he goes off on his rants. He's also bad for cutting Hustler off. He can't handle having to wait a few seconds to say what's just come into his mind. He's better in print b/c he has time to put his thoughts together.
  16. Or at the very least they have to be clever insults. If I'm going to read through this I expect better than #mack=loser.
  17. The CEO hands out the cash, but it's the GM who decides how it should be spent. By most accounts, he's doing a very good putting together the football ops. It doesn't matter what you think he should be making as a GM. Point is he could have taken more money for himself and chose instead to put it into areas that would be more beneficial to the team. You seem to have the same MO as Lawless lately. Nobody will accuse you of cheating on Mack if you say something good about Walters...
  18. Sounds like he has a tonne of talent. He just needs to get his head on straight. Hopefully he's willing to spend some time on a CFL pr.
  19. I doubt it. My guess is Etch would take care of it.
  20. Good stuff. Glad he can be part of the team again. Hopefully he knows how to coach a rb.
  21. Why no threads created about the signing last week then? I just didn't really get around to it. Get your **** together. Leggett sounds pretty impressive.
  22. Right, my mistake, they are household names.... Markstrom is a pretty well known name. A couple of years ago he was being touted as the next big thing in net. Dominated in Europe before he came over here and became mediocre.
  23. Markstrom, Matthias, & a 1st round pick for Luongo, Schneider, & a couple $million/yr is retained salary. How much longer does Gillis keep his job?
  24. the companies even justify it by saying the customers prefer the smaller sizes... because if they left the sizes they same they'd raise prices and customers hate rising prices. It's also up to them to keep us from getting fat(ter). They know what's best for us.
