Is Mike O'Shea now considered one of the old boys club?

Watch MacLean & Kypreos go back and forth for 15 minutes and you'll be begging for the TSN panel again. I could run a show out of my basement with better production value than Sportsnet has. Terrible news. I'm actually honestly upset about this. I love TSN's coverage.

I subletted an apartment from Randy Turner about 13 years ago. Thought everyone would want to know that. The messy bastard left guitar picks on the closet floor. Other than Dan Hill & Celine Dion, Shania Twain is probably the best one they've had. The idea of a halftime show is to get new viewers to watch, & old farts like BTO aren't going to bring new viewers in. In that respect, the Biebs was a pretty good pull last year.

Love your optimism... Like JBR said, it would be crazy for Collaros to re-sign in TO and let them control what happens to him. They have to trade his rights or lose him for nothing in FA. And as 17to85 alluded to, who really gives a crap about tampering? The slap on the wrist from the CFL would be worth it, as this is too important for us to screw up.

Why is Glenn to Ottawa such a sure thing? He's a free agent next year so if the Redblacks take him in the expansion draft, all they win is an extra few weeks to "exclusively" negotiate with him. Glenn's not a FA this offseason.

I didn't hear this myself, but I read on The Extra Point that Knuckles said the HC options are down to O'Shea or Jones. He also mentioned O'Shea as his guess to be the new HC a few days ago.

That would be a hard-ass, unlikeable pair of coaches.

I'd like to find out who else, if anybody, Miller spoke to about the GM position. I'm ok with Walters having the job, but I'd like to think we at least kicked the tires on other cadidates.See if we had anything close to the "complete & exhaustive search" he talked about when he was hired. Walters with some combination of McManus/Worman/Moll could do a good job for us.

Glenn was pretty good in the West final last season.

I heard that too this morning on 1290. Pretty funny and pretty terrible all at once. Taman also said that he fully expects to hear from the Bombers once the game is over.

While true, I stand by my point that he's a jackass. Like Zontar said, he goes out of his way to rile people up. I'm pretty sure he knew what kind of reaction he'd get as a TO journalist insulting a prairie city.

I like O'Shea as HC material for many of the same reasons Atomic gave. He just seems like he'd be a good leader. If he could surround himself with quality assistants (Jones & Burke?) we might have something.

I've never taken that route but from looking at the Google satellite map it does look rather desolate. Simmons is a jackass. He thinks every city in Canada outside of Toronto is a wasteland.

Durant is either playing the victim of the mean fans/media, or he's a cocky pos. There usually isn't much middle ground with him, IMO. His pouting and poor me attitude in 2011 cost a few coaches their jobs. In the Banjo Bowl he was taunting the fans at the end of the game, which is something I'd never want to see my starting qb do. IMO, being the starting qb means you should conduct more professionally than that. He's the face of the team and he acted like a clown. Chamblin is too cocky for my liking. He called out Cornish & the Stamps and guaranteed they'd hold them under 100 yards or people would lose their jobs. That's a stupid thing for a HC to say. Especially last season, he seemed too cocky for what he'd accomplished to that point in his career. By impossible to like, I mean while they're on any other team than ours. I just assumed that went w/o saying. I think Dwight Anderson is the only player in the league I couldn't cheer for, even in Blue & Gold.
