  1. I think the problem was Roussel's leg, not his head.
  2. There's no way he'll get suspended for that. Shouldn't have even been a minor penalty, imo.
  3. Fun fact: Lemieux has as many points as Hayes since the trade.
  4. Seriously, how does a dman get caught out of position like that in the last 10 seconds of a tie game? Brutal
  5. Yeah, that's definitely a thing in gov't unions. I can only speak from my family's experiences, but my Federal office workplace is infinitely better than what my wife has to deal with with the province. They're under the constant threat of "restructuring". Her manager is never around, b/c she's been given multiple additional duties due to "restructuring". My wife's supervisor retired, so now she's doing her job, as well as her old job, and was only bumped up one level on the payscale. People are taking more sick days due to stress, and nearly every day at least one person in the office is crying. It's crazy.
  6. What department is he with? My wife is under Child and Family Services and they're understaffed. The stress level in their office is out of control. Hopefully the gov't can re-distribute some of the excess staffing budget from your buddy's department to hers.
  7. Yeah, I thought he looked pretty bad tonight overall, not just the pp. It seems like he thinks the game too slow. He telegraphs what he's going to do when he has the puck on the pp. I'd like to see them use Niku there until Buff is back.
  8. Birmingham had 17k fans for their first game and 6,500 last weekend. That's not a good sign.
  9. No, they are not. I might actually backtrack on my comment a bit, b/c there's still lots of time for Scheer to say something really stupid at a "yellow vest" rally that could turn voters off. If the people in charge of the Conservative campaign are smart, they would tell Scheer to go into hiding until Election night.
  10. I don't see him resigning. IMO, best case scenario in the next election for the Liberals, if they're led by Trudeau, is a Conservative minority. Philpott's resignation was a huge kick in the nuts for Trudeau. It just sucks the best the Conservatives could come up with for leadership is Scheer.
  11. WWE‏Verified account @WWE 2h2 hours ago WWE is saddened to learn that King Kong Bundy has passed away. He was THE bad guy when I first started watching WWE.
  12. Maybe for yourself, but I think that's a pretty big oversell for the average Canadian. I don't say that to downplay what's happened, bc it's obviously bad, but imo this isn't the kind of juicy story that somebody who normally doesn't care about politics is going to spend much time talking about. I was in the office today and brought it up, and basically all I got back was, "yep, typical politician". And I work in a Federal government office... Maybe I think too little of people, but I honestly believe Trudeau having an affair would generate way more discussion among most Canadians.
  13. Although the analogy works, I'm not sure this was the best idea from the Toronto Star, considering his family history.
  14. That would certainly mess up the cap for the teams with $750k qbs.
  15. Smart move on the league's part. This will test the pa negotiating team's ability to work for all of the members.
  16. Toronto Argonauts Media Relations‏ @ArgonautsMR We have released the following players: LB Terrance Plummer, DB Cassius Vaughn and DB Johnny Sears Jr.
  17. Good value on Brassard trade. Imo, he would have been a good option as a 4th line centre here, playing with Perreault.
  18. It's too bad there aren't a lot left handed dmen available at the deadline.I read somewhere that Alec Martinez might be available. I think a player like that is what we should be looking for. A 20 min dman that probably wouldn't take a 1st rounder to get. I'd also look at Brassard. We could use another centre, and his trade value has gone down. Put him out there with Perreault and Roslo on the 4th line.
  19. We weren't willing to pay for JSK at wil, but we'll trade an asset and pay way more to bring Eliminiam in? I really don't see it happening.
  20. https://3downnation.com/2019/02/22/jeremiah-masoli-heads-group-of-potential-free-agent-quarterbacks-in-2020/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter This Dunk article says Nichols is a FA after 2019.
  21. Lol, it's funny b/c it's true.
  22. The Riders got Powell and Watson, a receiver best known for his blocking, in FA. If anything, I think they'll throw the ball even less this season.
  23. I'm guessing he restructured to free up some cap room for this season. Can't see any possible reason why we'd give him a raise when he's got two years left on his contract and is coming off a down year.
  24. Obviously. Scheif is way better than Little.
  25. I wouldn't go that far. The US has a treasonous criminal running their country. I know we've got some dummies on right right calling Trudeau a traitor for his immigration policies, but that's just far right nonsense. The US government is basically a crime family right now. We've got some problems, but imo it doesn't compare to the level of craziness down there.
