  1. We might have the worst group of party leaders I can remember. Scheer is a shameless opportunist who seems like he'd sell his grandma if it got him votes. He's going hard right, trying not to lose support to Bernier, but it's going to cost him centrist voters. Plus, he has one of the most punchable faces in politics. Trudeau, and most of his party, can't stop shooting themselves in the foot. I don't really care about the NDP, b/c I would never vote for them. I wish they'd go away so they stop splitting the vote on the left.
  2. I don't feel the need to try to be fair. Anybody who was paying attention knew what was coming with Trump.
  3. Agreed. It's crazy how many lower and middle class people vote against their own self interest.
  4. Didn't Jefferson sign first? Alternate theory: Jefferson turned the Riders down for us, Riders then had to pay more for Johnson to ensure they didn't come away empty handed.
  5. Michel seems the most likely to me. I was pretty surprised he got a shot in the first place.
  6. Regarding cfl receivers in the NFL, Williams-Lambert would would look good in the role we had Thompkins in.
  7. That's what I was thinking. Same size with similar testing numbers.
  8. Why would you doubt JSK was getting league minimum? If an unknown rookie American isn't getting it, who is?
  9. I don't see Zylstra coming back. He's too good. Bryant Mitchell is the guy I think is most likely to come back. Maybe even Duke. I think a big part of his success was being bigger and stronger than everybody in the CFL. He won't have that same benefit down there.
  10. That's a terrible attempt at trolling. He put up 153 yards and a td in week 22 against your defense.
  11. Yes, ie "building" their own team. You're using a very broad definition of "arms race" if you're including keeping players they've scouted and developed.
  12. How does he figure the Argos are a near lock for the playoffs? Only two teams usually make it from the East, the Ticats will take one of those spots, and the Argos missed last year.
  13. The Stampeders put that theory in doubt.
  14. Thomas is a nice rotational player on a good contract, but I'd definitely rather have Evans.
  15. Evans helping with the ratio doesn't make your dl any better, which was the issue being discussed. Regardless, I think he's a decent player, just a little overrated.
  16. Johnson and Hughes are obviously very good. I think Evans is overrated. He reminds me of Shologan. Looked good in Ottawa, but just ok when he left. AC Leonard's pretty meh. He got an East all-star, but I think I would've taken any de in the West over him.
  17. I'm a big Bomber homer, and even I think you need to pump the breaks a little on this one...
  18. Well, that's interesting. Could have had him but walked away. I really hope we get the type of receiver we want then.
  19. Get your **** together.
  20. Comfort of familiar surrounding, I assume. Probably more money too.
  21. I forgot about Moore. Dressler, Bowman, & Smith were high profile, but I meant being at the top of the fa class. Moore would fit what I was thinking of.
  22. I don't buy it. Burnham never even made it to fa, Harris got paid the same amount that we offered to stay with the qb he's had his success with, and TO outbid us for Walker. Have we gone after any high profile receivers in prior free agencies?
  23. Matthews would be better. So would Arceneaux & Roosevelt, imo. If I was running the show, I'd pass on Walker and sign Matthews for prob $100k less. Use the extra money to make a run at Ackie.
  24. We'll sign a receiver. Don't think it will be Walker though.
  25. Count me as skeptical that we can convince Walker to come for less money.
