  1. He's day to day with hurt feelings over the Sens being called boring.
  2. Herb Zurkowsky‏ @HerbZurkowsky1 3m3 minutes ago Toronto Argonauts announce the retirement of former Als' LB Winston Venable.
  3. Herb Zurkowsky‏ @HerbZurkowsky1 38s38 seconds ago Three days into training camp, QB Darian Durant has to be helped off the field with an injury to his left knee.
  4. It falls under the category of better late than never, but good on the Riders for finally making a good pr decision. The spiel about having daughters and it being a matter of principle falls a little flat though. He was already a two-time loser when he signed him.
  5. Anybody listening Bauming's show? He just said he doesn't think Woods is coming. Also said the money saved from Waggoner and Smith is already spent. Those retirements likely saved us from having to cut a bigger salary in camp. He say we also redid a couple of contracts.
  6. I'm very much a centrist and I don't like how our parties are all moving away from the centre. That should be the space the Liberals fill, but I agree they've moved further left than they used to be.
  7. I was gone from OB before this Shankman character arrived. Frankly, he sounds made up.
  8. Today is my four year anniversary on this site. Bluto messaged me through OB and said I was on a list you guys made of posters to ask to follow you over here. I thought, "that makes sense. I have a lot to offer."
  9. Bear Woods was cut by the Als. Wondering if a 204 number will be showing up on his call display soon?
  10. I forgot to mention him. He got open and made a few nice catches in the 1 on 1s. I had zero expectations for him coming into camp.
  11. I watched approx. the last hour... Nichols was the best qb today from what I saw. Hit a few guys in stride for big plays in both the one on ones and skelly. Apodaca has a cannon and seemed accurate, but he didn't get a lot of reps. I thought Davis struggled when they did skelly. Lefevour was just ok. Took off and ran during the one on ones, which seemed weird to me. Adams was a beast today. Made a few rookies look bad in 1 on 1s, and went over Randle for a nice long catch. Dressler looked good, but had an ugly drop in skelly. The only time I noticed Denmark was for a bad drop. Stafford looked good in 1 on 1s. He got open deep in skelly, but Davis badly underthrew him. Of the new guys, I thought Thorpe looked really good, as well as Duncan and Lowder. I thought Coates was the best of the Canadian receivers, but didn't see them get much action. Coates made a jumping catch down the sideline. Not much to report on the dbs. I was paying closer attention to the receivers. The poor kid from the Rifles looked like a junior player. I thought Virgil looked good in the little bit of 1 on 1s I watched for them. Corney looked good too. Very fast. Overall, I thought the OL did very well. Goossen shut every guy down that I saw him go against. Spooner got beat up a little bit, and Ekakite didn't do much of note. That's pretty much what I expected to see though in their first action against the big boys.
  12. They didn't. They cut him after the third practice.
  13. To me it means they only want 4 qbs in main camp and rookie camp was the chance for the two rookie qbs to earn a spot.
  14. Both teams must be so happy to be rid of their last opponent. The Ducks are basically a gang and the Sens trap you to death.
  15. Pens are missing their top dman. I'd call that more than even. The Preds have a great D corp. The Pens will have to use their speed to get in on them quickly and not let them make that nice first pass on the breakout. None of the teams the Pens have played have had great defenses that compare to the Preds. On the other side, the Preds haven't played anybody as fast as the Pens yet. Should be interesting.
  16. I think we're in line for some good hockey in the Finals. Lots of speed and offense.
  17. I think 7 is my number for the Riders. You'll be better, but imo too many things have to go right for them to win many games.
  18. They're stacked at receiver for sure. I think they have pretty big question marks everywhere else though.
  19. We still might get Mulumba. He's still only 27, and it's not like he can retire a multi-millionaire if he gets cut again this year.
  20. Another Pens dman hurt last night. Crazy...
  21. I really hope so. They couldn't possibly play worse than they did in gm 3. It's hard to understand how a team can no-show for a game at this point in the playoffs. Maata and Sheary need to get their heads out of their asses and help out a little. They're guys who are supposed to be counted on, but they've been worse than passengers. They're hurting the team when they're on the ice.
  22. Murray was their #1 goalie this season and is better than Fleury. It's tough for Fleury bc he's been so good in the playoffs, but I don't have a problem with the decision. If the Pens' skaters let up bc they're sad about a goalie switch, they don't deserve to win.
  23. Murray in for the Pens tonight and another forward out with injury. I think they're in big trouble regardless of who they go with in net.
  24. That's not really bandwagon jumping. Cheering for them now bc they're in the conf final would be.
