  1. I also liked the way Taker went out. Trying to get up and not being able to was great imo.
  2. So the only thing that prevented them from being worse was being better?
  3. Couple thoughts: - I was thinking Big Show was going to win the Battle Royal and then retire. My second choice was Sammy Zayn. I can't see Mojo getting over. He seems like a goof. The security incident with Gronk was pretty funny. - Shane vs. Styles was arguably the best match. I'm not sure if that's a compliment to that match, or an indictment of the rest of the night. The Raw women's match was also really good. - Hardys coming back was definitely the highlight of the night. - I thought Seth Rollins oversold the knee. Made the match seem a little cheesy to me. - Miz is my favourite wrestler right now. Hated seeing them basically get squashed at the end, but I understand Cena & Bella had to win to set up the proposal. Enjoyed the crowd reaction throughout the match. - Wyatt & Orton was kind of boring, & I disagree with Orton getting the belt. I've never been a fan of him - Lesnar's match was done perfectly imo. - I didn't hate the final match. I like Roman Reigns. I was half expecting a Finn Baylor run it to help Taker, have him win, and then Baylor would get the push from helping Taker win his final match, and have an immediate feud with Reigns. Reigns could have beat up Baylor on Raw tonight and it could have been his heel turn. I had it all figured out... -Overall all just waaay to f'ing long.
  4. I'd rather have Neufeld. I think he's better, and he can play all three positions if necessary.
  5. I would assume so, based on the timing. He had a decent season in 2014, but his game seems to have fallen apart since then. We ended up with Corney in that trade.
  6. We've only heard one side of this, so it might not be as bad as it sounds. Maybe they called him the night before to tell him it was going to happen and the text today was just a confirmation? I don't know, just thinking out loud. Seems hard to believe a team would be that shitty to a long time vet like that.
  7. When he was looking over the top rope, right before he turned around to take the spear, he had a really weird look on his face. Like he was dreading taking that spear.
  8. Well get your **** together then...
  9. $140 is the number I remember. $200k for a guy coming off one decent season would be crazy.
  10. I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.
  11. Lol. I sat in the seat next to that guy and his girlfriend for a few years (around 2000-2004). I didn't know his real name, but everybody called him Meat (Bull Durham reference). That guy must have had to take a loan to afford all the beer he drank. He would start to come up the stairs with two beers, everybody in the section would start chanting for him to drink them, and he would demolish them both and go back for more. He also had a "ride the pony" bit he did for us...
  12. What are you talking about? With the notable exception of the goalies, we've been the better team so far.
  13. Another top 4 defenseman or a healthy Myers, maybe both, and an upgrade in goal. That's my wish list for next season. Unfortunately, it's a pretty weak fa class for the type of dman I would want. Alzner was a running joke here for awhile, but imo he'd be a great partner for Buff on the 2nd pairing.
  14. 7 pts in his last 5 games and balls out hustle every shift. Not sure what the expectations of him are if that's not good enough.
  15. That would be a pretty big jump up the rankings.
  16. Common sense dictates that the only solution to gun violence is to flood the streets with guns.
  17. Couldn't agree more. The guy on the pa needs to switch to decaf.
  18. Meh. His D in Hamilton was nothing special, and Sask's D was historically bad after he took it over from Hall.
  19. He made a handful of bad passes and I thought it looked like he didn't know where he should be at times. Indecisive. I can't remember many specific plays to reference, but it just felt like it would be obvious to pick out who the kid up from the minors was in that game. I understand that the nerves of his first game and only having one or two practices would cause a lot of that. He had a few good plays too though. Carried it up a couple of times and made a nice pinch in the third that created a chance. Stu looked like he was doing a lot of coaching for him on the ice. They were talking after the whistle after most plays.
  20. That's not how it looked in person. I thought he had pretty rough night.
  21. Gotta defend Stu. In addition to the two softies, that mixup behind the net that led to a goal was also on Helle imo. He was way too indecisive with the puck and the dmen had no idea what he was going to do.
  22. No reservations about checking out their stolen personal pictures?
  23. This list is really surprising to me. How aren't Chris Schultz, Mike O'Shea, Terry Greer, & Mervyn Fernandez already in the HOF? Short(ish) CFL careers for Greer & Fernandez I suppose, but they're some of the first names I remember as stars in the CFL when I started watching football as a kid.
  24. I'm firmly in the camp that thinks we need to bring someone in to create a 1a-1b situation. There are several pending fas who could fill that role; Johnson, Condon, Darling, even Mason. None of those guys, imo, are likely to go anywhere as the undisputed #1. Maybe Darling, but the supply of goalies is likely to be greater than the demand, and although he's looked good as as a backup, he's not a proven guy yet. Edit: I had Elliott on that list, but his recent hot streak probably keeps him a Flame.
