2022 Off Season - Back 2 Back Champs Edition

I hope not, but I'm sure Rider fans never thought Dressler would sign here, either. -

Not sure about BCs strategy. They really need Rourke to be good, or this spending spree will be meaningless. It seems crazy to me that Burnham will be their 3rd highest paid receiver. -
Kito Poblah got mentioned in a thread, and it reminded me about this. He runs a winter travel team for jv and varsity age players. Don Burrell, another former Bomber, is the varsity team's head coach. Just wondering if anybody has had a kid in this program, and if so what are your thoughts on it?

Arland Bruce IV is playing right now for Iowa. That makes me feel old. -
These are the good times people …

My low point as a Bomber fan came on the evening of September 27, 2013. As I sat alone in my section, watching some guy named Jason Boltus try to be a football player, I wondered if I was still able to do it. Could I still support what this once proud franchise had become? At that moment I never thought I'd live to see us win another Cup. When we won last year, I didn't even know how to react. I celebrated way more this year. Last year was more like stunned silence. The nightmare was finally over. -
The rookie laden Bomber secondary will be in tough against a great qb like MBT.

2021 Blue Bombers Training Camp/Pre-Season Stuff

I don't recall him being a great blocker, but that's about my only complaint so far. I thought he ran the ball well. Imo, Harris' blocking and experience in knowing where to be as a safety outlet for the qb would be the two hardest things to replace if he got hurt. -
I've only ever seen a handful of Big Bang Theory episodes. Way too sitcom-y for me. The laugh track is out of control. I'd highly recommend you watch a few episodes of Arrested Development. That, along with Seinfeld & 30 Rock, are my three favourite sitcoms ever.

Agreed. Too bad Tocchet isn't still coaching there.

Love it! If he's anything close to what he was his last season in Edmonton, he'll be one #1 receiver for sure.

2020-21 NFL Discussion Thread

Deleted. I just saw Mark H posted the same stat on the prior page. -
That's seems unfair. He would be ineligible to win ROTY, but they can still call him a rookie to keep his salary down.

Texier is a good young player, but he shouldn't be a first line centre yet.

Darren Cameron @Darren_Cameron · 41s #Bombers announce the team has traded centre Cody Speller to Toronto, along with the 52nd overall selection in the 2021 CFL Draft, in exchange for the 48th overall pick. Speller was a pending free agent in a couple of weeks.
-
I'm not sure I trust VA. He had some great games, but overall was just meh, imo. Really **** the bed in the playoffs.
-
Gotta love our size and skill at centre now. PLD won't score like Laine, but it's not like we lack the talent to score without him. PLD's all-around game is better than Laine's, and he plays a more important position. His fancy stats are very good too, for people who care about that.

I read somewhere that Speller is expected to go to Toronto. We still have very good depth, though.

Not sure it's Heinola love as much as it's a desire to get Niku out of the lineup. Heinola looked much better last year, as an 18 year old, than Niku did this season. Small sample size for sure, but imo he deserves playing time more than Niku does.

I 100% agree with this point. Plus Harris' drug test. Maybe I misunderstood the argument. I'm saying I'd rather have Fajardo now.
