  1. Pretty underwhelming play from Comrie so far in his AHL career.
  2. What in that quote says he isn't?
  3. The loss is on both. Lots of excuses for Helle, but he's been every bit as bad as the rest of the team in these last two losses.
  4. I was hoping they'd lose him for nothing. This might give Nichols more leverage, but if Jones wasn't willing to pay for Durant, why would he open the wallet for Nichols?
  5. Or they need better goalies for him to coach. Kind of the chicken or egg thing when we're not at practice to see what's going on. Both team's had garbage goaltending last night. Very frustrating game to watch.
  6. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38589427#pq=RbIoXb Pretty good breakdown of what's going on by one of the best news orgs in the world.
  7. Exactly.
  8. Well that's part of the problem then, if you're citing people but don't know who they are. He's prominent in the link you posted. The buzzfeed/CNN story is uncorroborated, not necessarily completely fake. Still poor journalism, but not the same thing.
  9. Because on the topic of fake news, if a person like Alex Jones of Charles Johnson is being cited, I think it's important to give context as to what kind of people they are, and reference other "news" that they have broke. If you post something on a message board, it's open for discussion. It would be different if you pm'd me a link.
  10. Oh the drama! There were no personal attacks. I was insulting what you consider credible news sources. Although I suppose Hillary Clinton really could be hiding a pedophile ring under a pizza restaurant.
  11. Exactly. He and his team are such a trainwreck that you could tell me almost anything about him and it would be hard to dismiss it out of hand. It wasn't very responsible journalism to release this info without being able to verify it, but a lot of it seems pretty believable.
  12. So you're citing Charles Johnson, one of the people pushing pizzagate, to verify the accuracy of this story? That's only slightly better than when you cited Alex Jones' website. You're in to some weird ****...
  13. Lost in the golden shower of information regarding Trump's alleged acts of treason is news that he wants an anti-vaxxer, who believes they cause autism, to head a vaccine safety committee.
  14. Sunseri had fewer years in the league and fewer pass attempts at that point than Davis has now.
  15. This was how I saw it. I understood what she was going for her, I just thought she shouldn't have said it. Gave off the "elitist" vibe she was trying to downplay when she was giving the background of some of the actors in the audience. My $.02...eloquent speech with one unfortunate throwaway line.
  16. If he wants to play football, he'll need to be accepting of a reduced rate. He might have some value left as a guard, but I think his days as a tackle are over.
  17. I'm not sure why she added that part about football and mma. It added nothing to her speech.
  18. Helle deserves his share of blame on that goal. Trouba screwed up, but it was a pretty soft one to let in.
  19. Sweden had a weak group to play against in round robin. The US was the best team and deserved to win.
  20. The Florida AG that Trump bribed to shut down the investigation of Trump University is going to get a nice job in the White House now. Funny how that works...
  21. Hasn't he already agreed to take less money next season? http://www.cfl.ca/2016/05/29/report-henry-burris-to-return-in-2017/
  22. Prices for this event have gotten out of control and hopefully the embarrassment of all those empty seats will force Hockey Canada to adjust their pricing. Best case scenario is for ticket prices to drop and for the tourney's to go back to smaller cities.
  23. Imagine how good the US team would be with Eichel & Matthews as their top two centres, and Hanifin & Werenski as their top D pairing. The list of eligible players the US & Canada have in the NHL is crazy. In comparison, the Russians have one eligible player in the NHL & the Swedes have none.
  24. ...and very weak American talent. Just a top to bottom awful team. Neck & neck with 2009 as the lowest point in Bomber football for me.
  25. That's not what I've read happened. They turned the Jays down originally b/c they thought they could get more. The Jays moved on and spent that money elsewhere. By the time EE & and his agent realized they couldn't get more, the Jays money was gone and he had to go elsewhere. At least that's what Steve Phillips & Bruce Arthur are saying. Most of what I've read was that he wanted to be back. Seems like his agent misread the market and the Jays mgmt moved on too quickly.
