Surely you can come up with a name then. Go ahead, don't be shy. And what a fantastic job he did in his last stop!

What experienced head coach with a winning history was available in 2014, when O'Shea was hired?
-
Even with the Jorden fumble... the ridiculous call to throw to the endzone instead of kick the field goal, and the subsequent garbage throw are far worse. But it's easier to call out the young kid than the QB and coach and that's what makes it extra shitty.
-
But Game 25 hasn't happened yet.... I think this is bad voodoo or something...
-
Here is the article referenced by Zontar, and yeah..... it is total trash. http://ottawasun.com/sports/football/cfl/ottawa-redblacks/brennan-redblacks-qb-trevor-harris-conspicuous-by-his-absence-from-grey-cup-week
-
O'Shea will be a grey cup champion head coach at some point. The only question is whether it is here or somewhere else. It would be sad to see us fire him after 5 years and then have him win a GC somewhere else in his first season.
-
I don't really see anyone jumping on board. But I agree, in that I hate it when media guys let their personal feeling get in the way of the story. Like Wiecek with Mike O'Shea. I haven't read the Ottawa stuff but if is a grudge like Zontar is implying, that is unfortunate.

Yeah I hear ya. I just don't think the demand is high enough. There are other options out there, like Eddie Lack, Reto Berra, and Andrew Hammond, all of whom are in the AHL right now. They're all comparable to Hutch.
-
I don't think so but Pittsburgh might. However, the value of having good goalie depth on a year like this where we might make a real run, outweighs the 5th-7th round pick we get for Hutch.
-
Ah ha! Their problem was that the positional coaches weren't good enough.

Silence lol

Honestly Ray could have retired after winning in 2012 and he still would have had a hall of fame career. I don't think the hall of fame or breaking records is what is driving his decision. From the comments he has made, it seems to me that he is leaning towards returning. He is making good money and clearly still loves to play the game.
-
So then what brings you here? Just spreading the good word? Sorry, but I'll stick by my original comments. I like this site for football because I was never really involved in the game so I can just be a fan. But with hockey, it's different. I can't tolerate talking to people who just have no clue, and unfortunately that's 95% of that site. If you want to buy into the bullshit coming from Garret Hohl and Holden Caulfield, go ahead. Just be aware that's exactly what it is - bullshit. Chiarot is not good. He needs to be severely limited.

No I am still free to post there, I just choose not to. I became a little disillusioned after we recently fired an employee for spending ALL his time on HFboards rather than doing any work. Turns out he has one of the highest post counts there and is well-respected. Well I'll be damned if the guy has ever laced up a pair of skates in his life. Going from his desk to the break room was a chore in itself.
-
What's your point? If you're going to try to win arguments with "THIS IS WHAT THEY SAID ON HFBOARDS" then what's the point of even coming here?
-
Anyone quoting hfboards should maybe just stay there. That board is a joke. I know some of those guys in person and I'd be surprised if they've ever played a sport in their lives. It's like letting the fat IT guy tell you how the Jets should be playing (that's literally what you're doing if you read that board). It's an absolute mockery.
-
Nothing wrong with pinching. Where is his d-partner? Try not to focus so much on where the puck is. The majority of the game happens away from the puck.
-
No need for him yet. Let him develop. Take those boys to a championship.
-
Maurice has the Jets rolling right now. Excellent line combos. Can't say enough good things about CSW and Perreault Hendricks Armia. Ehlers Little Laine is starting to shine as well. Breakout game from Armia and another great game from Morrissey, Myers and Byfuglien. No changes needed, keep it rolling.
-
Tough to find players when you don't actually scout anybody and just rely on whoever shows up to your open camps.
-
Yes the fact that the GM and scouting staff were so high on Knox, who basically ended up being a bust, is concerning. Even if he was a stud, there should have been more competition brought in. That was disappointing.

Actually it looks like Mason is on IR with concussion now. So I don't know. Maybe we do see Comrie at some point.
