  1. I expect we'll see Garbutt come on for Myron Mitchell and otherwise have the exact same roster next week. O'Shea isn't making big changes after two wins in a row.
  2. This is going to be a true beatdown. Riders 4-0 season is a mirage and about to come crashing down in an ugly way.
  3. Bighill's gotta be 250+ lbs out there. Looks like he's gonna roll away if someone tips him over
  4. Definitely noticed Woods breaking through the line a few times and getting in Maier's face even if he didn't record a sack
  5. I just saw a stat on TSN that Wilson's 13 catches were the second most in Bombers history in one game
  6. I'd include Bonds in that list too, our secondary is actually unreal other than BA
  7. I'm happy to say that I personally predicted basically everything that happened and I go to bed satisfied with myself once again
  8. What "normally"... It's game six of his career...
  9. Micah Johnson can still ball but as a team they have six sacks in four games, I'm not scared of the Riders. Their secondary is pretty sus as well.
  10. SSK will be 6-6 by the time we reach the Banjo Bowl... book it
  11. The Fred Reid special Giving SSK way too much credit, especially without Trevor Harris
  12. You just know Collaros is going deep on the first play from scrimmage.
  13. I think there are plenty of reasons for optimism. That doesn't mean I don't also see issues. I just think it's not so dire. Our defense has actually had pretty good results, especially given the situations that the offence has put them in repeatedly. We've got the 3rd fewest offensive points allowed, tied for second fewest TDs against, 4th in net offence allowed, 2nd in passing yards allowed, middle of the pack in forced turnovers. It's not all rosy, as we are getting carved up on the ground where we are 9th in yards allowed per game. But overall, the defence has been decent. It's the offence that has really struggled. We're basically dead last in every category. We've also had injuries to two of the top receivers in the league and to Brady and Zach. My biggest worry is with the OL... they need to be better. We need more Brady and Streveler, even when Zach is healthy. Get the OL in run blocking situations where they are better than they are in pass pro. But I still see hope - I'm not of the opinion Zach is totally done. In fact I think we see a huge game from him tomorrow and then suddenly we're 2-4, on a 2 game winning streak, and right back in the mix. The visions are clear now. I see possible futures, all at once. Our enemies are all around us, and in so many futures they prevail. But I do see a way, there is a narrow way through.
  14. Seems silly to write off a player just because they are European. No question the pedigree is different but this guy played pro football for a year in Europe, won the best defensive player in the league, and went to the NFL's European camp. He's not some scrub. And he's also not coming onto the roster to start at DE. Just get some rotations. It seems like mindless bitching to me. No kidding. When they brought Fayad back, people whined that he must be an O'Shea favourite, why couldn't they bring back Upshaw instead, etc. Then he gets cut and again, it's an O'Shea problem. It's just become dumb at this point.
  15. This doesn't really make sense to me. If you don't care where they come from then what's the problem? Ogbevoen made the practice roster out of training camp and now he's getting a shot while Garbutt and Haba are injured. That's exactly how it's supposed to work. If Ogbevoen was American I don't think you'd be complaining about him getting on the roster.
  16. Could be the next Thiadric Hansen, he came in as a "linebacker" as well. I got no problem with letting the kid play and see what he can do.
  17. Haven't heard any estimated return time but apparently the cast has come off his arm, so that is positive.
  18. Garbutt is healthy so I'm sure that is why
  19. Yep. Dinwiddie threw for 450 yards and a TD to Romby Bryant. Unfortunately that was probably the highlight of the 2008 season. It eventually led to the firing of Taman and Doug Berry and the hiring of Mike Kelly... Be careful what you wish for...
  20. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have started 0-4 after a Grey Cup appearance last season. The veterans they relied on in the past have begun to show their age. They are hoping for a spark from their backup QB at home to carry them to their first victory of the season. The year is 2008 and Ryan Dinwiddie is starting.
