  1. I don't know why you couldn't put him on the roster and take off Foketi. He wouldn't be playing but at least he would be getting a pay cheque. Then again, it may turn out to be hugely beneficial to keep Foketi around if we lose any of our 3 import Americans this off-season. It is tough to manage a roster, I do not deny that. But I do see options.
  2. Could be. Kulikov is a huge question mark for me. Myers as well. I think at this point we know what we're getting out of Toby, Buff, and Trouba. Morrissey.... I have faith that he will be very good again but weird things sometimes happen when guys hit their second full year. Hopefully the depth should be better but that depends on what we get out of Poolman and Niku. Otherwise we are looking at Chiarot and Melchiori as the primary depth guys which isn't terrible but not really any better than Chiarot/Postma/Stuart. I have "high hopes"... but I also recognize that there is a long way to go and a lot of work to be done.
  3. We'll see more Corney, I have no doubt about that. But there will be a heavy rotation. If we were ever serious about pursuing Mulumba, now would be the time.
  4. His name is Dave Bautista and he plays Drax the Destroyer. You idiot.
  5. Does someone have a dime to lend Walters?
  6. Without TJ Thorpe, this team doesn't win against Montreal to start the big win streak. No chance.
  7. Tevaun Smith could also be a factor eventually. You also left out Anthony Thompson who has started games for the Lions and played relatively well. If Lalama makes it, then surely you must include Frank Renaud, Kevin Jackson, Mike Kashak, Felix Faubert-Lussier, Declan Cross and Pierre-Luc Caron. Maybe that can be your 3rd round. Jamal Campbell and Dillon Guy are two OL who haven't really played much but still have as much or more potential than Mike Couture. And that's not a shot at Couture. Good list though. Lots of guys from the 2016 draft having an impact. It was a little weak at the top end but lots of depth throughout.
  8. The frustrating thing for me is that Thorpe is the best rookie receiver, by a mile, this regime has brought aboard in 4 years and they let him walk.
  9. Excited to finally get a look at this Niku character. The European players, especially those that haven't been in big international tourneys, are always intriguing because they are such unknowns. At least with the guys coming up from the CHL and NCAA, we've seen them play a bit.
  10. LOL are we starting this already? For the record, the Philly fans call him Headcase Mase. I think that's a pretty solid nickname.
  11. Is that different from 2017 Mike?
  12. They've improved a bit recently. Kept both TO and OTT under 25 points and 400 yards offence. I mean they are not best in the league by a long shot but I do think they are coming together to some degree. And they'll be at home. Saskatchewan, I'm still not sold that they are "for real." The character of their team is just too questionable. But maybe tonight they stomp Hamilton and prove me wrong.
  13. I just don't see how someone can sit there and say Chris Rainey did nothing wrong
  14. Just to be clear, this is the guy you are defending as a model citizen: Rainey, a University of Florida grad who’s played for — and was cut from — the Steelers and the Colts, has been arrested and charged twice for domestic violence: The first time as an undergrad, when he pled guilty to stalking his then-girlfriend and sending her a text saying “time to die, *****”; the second time for slapping his girlfriend, for which he pled no contest to disorderly conduct.
  15. The rich get richer!
  16. That's garbage! The "rule" should apply to everyone or no one. We don't need to grandfather in wife-beaters.
  17. Everyone knows that beeritas are the consensus choice drink of MBB
  18. Why is Manziel a problem and not Chris Rainey? Extremely hypocritical by the league office.
  19. Think about it though. Why would they be meeting with bears so often if they weren't planning on using them in the name?
  20. if Bridge plays, Cats win. Glenn plays, Riders win.
  21. Lol! I just think it's hard to avoid that big belly coming down from the sky. Not sure how that works.
  22. Polar Bears would have been a terrible name. I love Polar Bears but it's just not a name that rolls off the tongue. Winnipeg Polar Bears. It would be better to use the Inuit name - Nanook. The Winnipeg Nanooks. That's cool.
  23. Even Vince taking the frog splash from KO seemed pretty extreme. But hey, can't hate on the guy for taking the hits himself. It would be different if he was asking someone else to do it.
  24. Why was it stupid? Because of the risk? And yeah, that "fake skin" angle is where I would lean towards. Because when it started bleeding, the best way to describe it would be that the blood was "soaking through".
  25. OK so I can't believe that would have been a shoot headbutt on McMahon. He is so old, it just seems too risky. And the way the blood started coming out looked VERY strange to me. I think they pulled off some advanced **** that no one has seen before. Some say Vince bladed beforehand and KO just hit him enough to open it back up but I don't even buy that. What do you think?
