  1. The hive-mind has spoken
  2. I just have a hard time believing that a guy who has "been a season ticket holder for 60 years" would tolerate guys like Burke, Kelly, and Reinbold... but O'Shea, with our best record in 14 years, is the tipping point. I just don't understand that line of thinking. If it's not about wins then what are you a fan of, really?
  3. Jack Eichel is looking for an 8-year deal with the Sabres. That's an interesting case. He is only 20 so that is usually bridge deal territory. His numbers have been good, but not groin-grabbingly good. How do you balance the team wanting a reasonable deal, with the agent and player almost certainly wanting top-5 centre money on an 8 year deal? Eichel will probably be a point-per-game guy but it's not guaranteed and he hasn't been that yet...
  4. Toronto will have the home crowd on their side...
  5. Poor Richards. There is always Saskatchewan.
  6. I wouldn't do that so I'm not sure how to answer. If my boss convinces me that a certain direction is correct, then it's still my decision to go through with it. If he hasn't convinced me it's correct, I wouldn't do it.
  7. Ultimately it's up to the head coach to make that change in-game. There may have been pressure but the final decision was no one's but O'Shea.
  8. Good, go cheer for the Riders. Fake fan!
  9. Sure looks like Flanders plays. Pretty excited for that. The receiving corps has a lot to prove but I know all 5 of those guys are very capable. I think we've just scratched the surface of what TJ Thorpe can do.
  10. Hard to say. I'm not sure how much opportunity he really got in Edmonton but you'd think being a first-round pick he'd be given every chance to succeed. Instead, from 2014-2016 he never cracked 220 yards in a season ending with only 83 yards in 2016.
  11. Saskatchewan.... where first-round busts go to finish their careers...
  12. LOL that's so ridiculous
  13. There's an awful lot of talk about games being slowed down but for some reason they still seem to fit in the same 3-hour timeslot they always did.
  14. You know a team is in trouble when...
  15. I can't emphasize enough that the CFL has taken an officiating problem, and placed it on the laps of the coaches. "Our problem?? No, no.... it's the coaches' fault."
  16. I don't know. Just wait. When a team has a blatant missed catch and has to challenge to get it right, and then it happens AGAIN in a critical moment but the coaches can't challenge because they already used it on a legitimately bad call. I think that will make fans even more upset than what we've seen so far.
  17. Remove challenges on illegal contact, but allow them for PI. If the rule cannot be enforced consistently, then it is not a well-defined rule and certainly not challengeable.
  18. Terrible solution. Hate it. Reffing problems are at an all-time high and their solution is to remove the teams' ability to challenge bad calls. They couldn't have possibly got this more wrong and it won't take long to see why.
  19. With Leggett, Fogg, and Johnson out, we were 3 deep into the secondary depth. Realistically Carmichael, Walker, and Porter should have never seen the field yet. Alexander should be confined to the field corner for now. But multiple injuries in one position group have put the team in a tough spot. How many other teams can start 3 rookies in the secondary and play mistake-free ball? Your expectations are way off.
  20. They're 3-2. Theatrics? I think that's all on your end. Incredibly, the team is not perfect. Doesn't mean we start shipping out players, coaches, and management. You don't build a juggernaut overnight and I don't know why you'd expect to go from a perennial loser to number one in the league over the course of two seasons. It just doesn't work that way.
  21. And if he goes for a behind-the-back TD and drops it?
  22. Bass isn't having a great year in Ottawa... only 3 more tackles than Sam Hurl, and Hurl has an INT while Bass has not forced any turnovers.
  23. You don't think that predicting he will make a behind-the-back TD is boastful?
  24. Excellent idea, we will just go to the Perfect Player store and pick up 44 of them. Hell let's make it 50 just in case. Why can't we just be like the other 8 teams whose players never screw up?
