  1. Hmm yes maybe!
  2. Ran a 4.68 at his pro day. Not blazing speed but pretty typical for a Canadian receiver in the CFL.
  3. Interesting that they would hold a supplemental draft even after the season has begun. Not sure I've ever seen that before. Love the pickup though! Nice article: http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/aztecs/sd-sp-minnesota-20161224-story.html
  4. Yeah I don't know what ya do. Morrissey-Buff, Enstrom-Myers, "Kulikov"-Trouba? How do you manage icetime? But I'd agree that I don't want to see Toby-Buff anymore.
  5. Yes. The Riders had the talent to win the game against the Alouettes. I don't doubt that. But some bizarre coaching decisions led to a loss. And we saw the same thing last year at at times. It should be another "interesting" year in Riderville nevertheless.
  6. Totally agree but is that the question? For me, if Kulikov is going to be our #3 LHD it has to be the right price. If he's coming in here for anything more than 2.5M that's a pretty spicy deal for a 3rd pairing guy. And what's to become of Mark Stuart? Gotta do something about that albatross.
  7. I liked Bobby Gorgeous but yeah I'd cut him for Simon.
  8. Hey wait a tic, you guys were supposed to crush the Als and sack Durant 5 times! What the heck happened?
  9. He's talking about Glenn as a Rider.
  10. 1943, the infamous Acid Rain Bowl.
  11. I liked Greg Peach but he was also a guy who was tough as nails and a great teammate but at the end of the day the pure TALENT wasn't there and so we moved on. I hope Hurl works out because I like him but he's got an uphill climb.
  12. We need a good veteran backup. This idea that, if not for the fans, we could just ride Helle/Hutch is bordering on total lunacy. Elliott is good enough. Inconsistent is fine. He will not be relied upon to carry the load for more than 20-30 games. This is still Helle's job to lose. We just need someone we can turn to when Helle is struggling with the workload and count on them to not blow it EVERY NIGHT like Hutchinson did this past season. Everything about Elliott's past suggests that he's not a starter but he is perfect for a veteran backup role. If Elliott can be better than Hutch (he can) and Hellebuyck ups his game incrementally (he will), we will be fine in net. Conversation over, I have solved the debate. Let's all go home to our mothers.
  13. Amazingly, people will die regardless of health coverage, in 100% of the cases.
  14. On one hand, I agree that he probably looked worse last year than he actually is. On the other hand, he has been on a downward trend since his first few years in the league and at 26 years old I think we know what he has to offer. He's not particularly physical and offensively he is limited. A 20-point guy. I guess it would depend on the price. I don't believe he is a top-four defenceman on the Jets or any successful team. Therefore the absolute max I would pay is $2.5M (he made 4.5 last year ). In which case we end up with Morrissey-Enstrom-Kulikov-Chiarot on the left side and we would have to buy out Stuart or something.
  15. Haha I'm just kidding. But definitely a very trolly name and avatar
  16. HUGE blow for Hamilton. He was their best piece on offence and they don't have a lot of them.
  17. TheSource is a Rider fan
  18. And drink Jameson's straight, until he couldn't function.
  19. Not sure. Doesn't really make sense so I'd have doubts about the veracity of that claim.
  20. We were on his NTC along with all the other Canadian teams except Ottawa
  21. Not that bad really. Their cupboard is bare for goalies and if they are building for the future they can't do it just with 2017-18 picks. They are going to spend the next 5 years loading up with top prospects. It's a long term view but they weren't going to win the Cup in year one so why not get future value for these guys.
  22. I agree with BigBlue on this one. I think it's going to be a VERY close game. Bombers might eke out a win but it could easily go the other way.
  23. Ryan Olsen came out of the 2012 draft as well.... but kinda tough to call any 6th round pick a "bust". Only Trouba, Hellebuyck, and Jamie Phillips remain in the system from that draft.
  24. I'd be more surprised if he wasn't than if he was.
  25. Kosmachuk looked like he was on the right track for awhile but then just plateaued. Realistically anyone in this organization that's not a high first round pick is going to have a hell of a time cracking the roster. And that's the way it should be.
