Not at all! Not at all. It's certainly possible that they both have great seasons next year, and I think we're all banking on it. I definitely see Scheifele continuing his upward trend. With Laine.... I'll just say it's hard to score in the NHL, and lots of guys have come in with a bang only to take a bit of a step back in their second year. I can't see the future but what I do know is that the unexpected often happens and we can't bank on EVERYONE on the Jets continuing on an upward trend. It just never works that way.

Decent goaltending would have got us in this year. Next year, who knows? We can't necessarily count on Scheifele putting up 80+ points, Laine putting up 35+ goals, Lowry scoring 15, Trouba having a career season, etc. Morrissey had a fantastic rookie season but will he regress as a sophomore? Wouldn't be the first time that happened. My point is that teams don't develop on a linear upward slope. We had an opportunity to be good this year, and blew it by totally bungling the goaltending situation. Let's hope the opportunity comes again.

I was wondering when they'd bring in some RB competition. Div III but obviously he was head and shoulders above the competition, with those numbers...
-
The Brett Jones method. Of course, it's not usually that simple. Opportunity doesn't always knock twice, so if he has a chance at the NFL right now, he needs to take that chance. Your way sounds great but not so much if he ends up on a terrible CFL team, or one with a bad coach, or he gets thrown into the starting lineup too quickly and gets beaten all day. Worst case scenario, if he goes to the NFL is that he gets cut and comes back to the CFL with a big paycheck and a starting spot waiting for him and a lot of experience against the best, meanest football players in the world.

Around The League Off Season Discussion
Atomic replied to Bomber_fanaddict's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If CJOB loses the rights, I could see TSN just simul-casting the TV broadcast such as they are doing in Toronto this season. -
Possibly someone the scouts noticed while watching Corney
-
Yes.... while there are only 40-50 OL drafted to the NFL each year, there are another 100 or so signed as priority FA. And once they've got that FA contract, you can count on them not being in the CFL for at least a year... if they don't make a practice roster at least, they often will wait to see if they can catch on somewhere else later in the year.

Everything is being set up for an Oilers - Pens Final. It's going to be electric. McDavid vs Crosby. Wow.

I'm moving on. The Twins are closer to home anyways. Minnesota kinda looks like Manitoba if you squint. Go Twins Go!
-
But did that include ink well and quills?
-
Well OK Ivy League, I went to school in Manitoba, not at Harvard
-
Rusev yes. The rest could just as easily be your neighbourhood mailman or bantam cricket player, to look at them. Daniel Bryan doesn't even look like an athlete. I've got better abs than him. We need more Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, less Daniel Bryan and Finn Balor.

Wrestling fans are ruining wrestling! They cheer for the fat guys and midgets and boo the super-athletes. It's disgusting.
-
Merely a figurehead. Cutting ribbons, making announcements, doing interviews. That's why Pinball would be so good at it and it's why Mark Cohon was so good at it.
-
Super talented? Then why are all his matches exactly the same? And why do people want a 5'6" munchkin in the wrestling ring anyways? Let him fight with cruiserweights like the childlike gremlin that he is. That is, if he can ever stay healthy enough to wrestle two matches in a six month period. Hope he goes away ASAP. He's cancer to sports entertainment. If he wins the belt again, WWE might as well just wave the white flag and shut their doors. Balor sucks.
-
Balor is so overrated. He'll never be the star that people want him to be. I'm not super excited for the Ziggler/Nak feud that will probably last for months. Put him in a program with Sami Zayn for maximum effect.

Well said!

I don't, not my decision

Yeah your education was probably a lot cheaper too

My total tuition cost was about $18K and so the rebate would be around $10,800. I've claimed half so far so I could be losing out of $5400. Not as bad for me as it is for you, but it's not insignificant. Well thank God we are investing 20 million into housing for refugees skipping the border.
-
Several things... but most immediately, he is cutting the income tax tuition fee rebate. I'm trying to understand whether it affects me or whether people who have already been claiming it will be able to finish out the cycle. It was previously 60% of tuition is refunded over 6 years and I'm 3 years in. So that's 50% of my rebate I could potentially be losing.

No but I've met plenty of people with autism or Asperger's and he isn't even close. Not that all people on the spectrum are the same, far from it, but they all share certain characteristics and performing in front of thousands of people in a sensory-overload environment like the WWE is totally out of the question. ADHD I could understand. Autism/Asperger's? No chance.

I'll rephrase.... I know how to sign up for an NHL account. I don't know if it's necessary to join the pool.
-
Is this the place to ***** about Manitoba politics? Pallister keeps ramming me in the ass!!
-
So do you need an NHL account? Cuz I don't have one and like others I can't figure out how to sign up.
