  1. Not really. Some do, some don't.
  2. Wouldn't be surprised to see Corvey Irvin in that spot just as often, with a Canadian coming in as dime or linebacker.
  3. I think it's nice to see more nuance in reporting. Not all turnovers are equal. If Kevin Glenn throws it right to a linebacker, that's a giveaway. If Taylor Loffler destroys a receiver across the middle to force a fumble, that's a takeaway. Why not call it by the right name?
  4. It's kind of an interesting situation. I don't think the fans will ever accept a favourite like a Hogan or Cena anymore. It's gotta be an underdog, a guy from the indies, a guy that fans feel like is being "held back", or they will never cheer. In that respect I don't think the Reigns push is necessarily botched.... it's just that while they need a "top guy", the hardcore fans will never accept one.
  5. I think it's pretty clear that Roman is the guy and it's not changing. It's all about Roman and will continue to be into the foreseeable future. This whole Brock/Goldberg angle is all about Brock regaining his unbeatable aura so Roman can beat him, likely at next year's Wrestlemania.
  6. 100% agree. This is the way that makes the most sense to me.
  7. Well OK but I guess I just don't this as positive: ....so if you were trying to be positive, this would be why it came off as the opposite.
  8. Long term plan for Roslovic seems to be at Centre but I hope he gets a look at wing as well while he is up.
  9. Sorry I meant the show in general is receiving very positive reviews, not just Taker/Reigns.
  10. While I agree that TUP has never and likely will never give a positive review to a WWE show, I don't see the point in sniping at each other. Everyone is going to have a different opinion and that's why we're here.
  11. I'm not so sure. Most of the non-smarky reviews for the show are raving about how good it was. And IMO those are more reflective of the overall success, especially for Wrestlemania which is meant to appeal to a mass audience that only watches WWE once a year or less. This was the right way for Taker to go out. I don't see him as a guy who walks away on top... I see him as the old alpha dog battling to the absolute last moment his body will allow, and the new dog puts him down. Just my opinion.
  12. Probably just muggles, no?
  13. Am I getting this right? Malfoy is the new captain on the new Trek series?
  14. And are you guys suggesting that the security guard didn't know Gronk was coming into the ring? Looked like a work to me.
  15. It most certainly was not. That 2005 defence was the worst I've ever seen in pro football.
  16. Have to agree with everyone that the show is too long, although it did hold my attention... might not be the same for a more casual fan. Fan backlash got the Smackdown women's match moved off the pre-show but honestly it probably would have gotten more time there. Mojo has been getting pushed for weeks. I was not surprised to see him win the battle royal but good for him. More surprised that Jinder Mahal was the second last man standing. Goldberg vs Brock was perfect. For a moment I actually believed Goldberg was going to win, even though I knew he wouldn't going in. Loved, loved, loved seeing Steph go through the table. So rare to see Steph get shown up. Average match with a great finish. What can you say about Shane McMahon? People doubted he'd be able to roll with AJ but that was an excellent match. HARDY BOYYYYZ. That is all! Taker vs Roman deserved the main event because it was Taker's retirement match. There was nothing bigger than that on the show. Not the "best" match for obvious reasons but the fact that it was likely his last ever means it had to be the main. Taker deserved it. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Better than WM32 but not as good as WM31. 8/10.
  17. Just to be clear to those who didn't read the link, the article says he hasn't played any defence since high school but did some safety drills at his pro day. The athleticism is intriguing, his passing stats are so-so.
  18. Haha I am absolutely joking, just spitballing the most ridiculous thing I could come up with. And yes, that's why I said Undertaker vs Undertaker round 2. The original one was so ridiculous. Grey gloves undertaker vs purple gloves undertaker. Ridiculous but one of my favourite wrestling memories as a kid.
  19. It's Friday, Noeller's been in the rye for hours already
  20. Undertaker wins. Roman lies unconscious in the ring. Undertaker leaves his hat and gloves in the ring to signify his retirement. Undertaker walks out. Roman sits up straight, like the Undertaker would. Roman puts on the hat and gloves. Roman is the new Undertaker. Undertaker returns at WM34 to fight Roman the Undertaker. Undertaker vs Undertaker round 2. Roman wins and is forever the new Undertaker.
  21. That's kinda surprising. Man Undertaker looked like he was in real pain after chokeslamming Strowman. I don't know how he can last through a solid match with the Romanator.
  22. You don't expect him to treat the team with respect because he's been released
  23. If he's one of your players, yeah, I agree a phone call is the way to go. But when it's a totally new regime and they are cutting up the roster... I think that expectation goes out the window. Just my opinion....
  24. Melchiori is a big body and positionally sound but pretty hopeless with the puck. I don't mind him as a #7/#8 defenceman, maybe the kind of guy you keep on a 2-way deal and have him as the first call-up from the Moose.
