  1. Yeah I guess everything is fair game really. I may not understand it but some will find it interesting. TMZ wouldn't exist if I was the target audience for everything
  2. Same way players are always replaced. US scouting and CFL free agency. The holes are from guys like Tony Burnett and Quincy McDuffie who didn't play prominent roles in the first place. As for Shologan's replacement, fan speculation says we'll go after Jabar Westerman but we could easily just use an American in that spot and find a Canadian to play elsewhere.
  3. Wasn't referring to it being posted here, referring to the report being made in the first place.
  4. That Mark Scheifele is such a stud!
  5. Mark had too much caffeine this afternoon
  6. Dementia? Relevant. Hemorrhoids? Irrelevant. Cancer? Relevant. Hair loss? Irrelevant. People can report on whatever the hell they want, I just don't see the point in this particular case.
  7. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
  8. The reason the Riders were bad last year was that it takes time to flush all the bad Taman players out of the neg list and replace them with quality Jones guys
  9. Tanev can skate but unfortunately seems to have no idea what he's supposed to be doing at any given time or location on the ice. He is out of his league. I agree he needs to develop still. The NHL is not the place.
  10. Lol this is news now? Not exactly an uncommon thing among men. Might as well report on drinking pepto-bismol for stomach pain.
  11. http://www.denverpost.com/2017/01/12/vince-young-probation-dwi-case/
  12. Better than Tanev at this point in their respective careers.
  13. Ha ha oh my god. It's so ridiculous it will probably come true.
  14. Yeah I understand the point I was just curious about the statement. It was just a simple mistake/omission on Jacquie's part but it's important to provide accurate evidence to back up talking points or the points get ignored in favour of declaring the proof "incorrect."
  15. Then the bet is on. If I win, you have to mow my lawn wearing my wife's Sunday dress. If you win, I will mow your lawn wearing your wife's Sunday dress.
  16. I think SJ Green still got some juice in the tank. 32 and coming back hungry after a knee injury... I wouldn't bet against him.
  17. 4? With Scheifele, Ehlers, and Laine all firing on all cylinders, 4 should be easy. Just put a Mr. Sieve in the net and we'll still win. GO JETS GO! GO JETS GO!
  18. Is this true? Seems like 9/11 alone makes this hard to believe.
  19. I don't know if they'll have to outright release any more. Free agency is going to take care of some of the overpriced contracts such as Sam Hurl.
  20. The main issue is that he is incredibly defensive and that when there is an issue that cannot be described accurately by currently available metrics, he writes it off as unimportant. Such as timeliness of saves. Notice he has no scientific or statistical argument against this... he presents three anecdotal points. It's always the same with him. He needs to see the numbers, until the numbers aren't available... then anecdotes become evidence. Advanced stats are great, they provide a deeper understanding of the game than traditional stats. But they are not perfect. There are flaws. They can't describe the game perfectly. But Garret won't allow that. He will say "sure, they aren't perfect" but then if someone tries to point out what the stats may be missing, his answer is always the same - "Nuh uh. Here's why. <insert rhetoric>"
  21. They are both serious issues deserving of concern. I don't think that imagining all Muslims or refugees as pure-hearted angels is any more helpful than imagining they are all terrorists. The fact is that many Muslims share similar viewpoints to the so-called "alt-right", except you can replace the hatred of Muslims with the hatred of white people. One thing I know is that forcing people to be politically correct only changes what they say, not how they feel. Shutting down conversation is not the answer and only serves to further ostracize people, driving them to extreme acts of violence or voting for Trump.
  22. After the combine. Usually comes out mid- to late-April.
  23. "We"? You're not judging Muslims. You're judging us. Get off your high horse. If we've learned anything from the past year, it's that you can't dispel people's fear of the unknown by demanding that they don't talk about it.
