  1. I'm not a huge fan of either Chiarot or Stuart but what has Morrissey done to earn a spot? Likewise with Copp vs Lowry. Has Copp been so much better than Lowry that you keep him up on a 2-way deal instead of Lowry on a 1-way? Seems to me they've been pretty even. I think you're overreacting. Declaring the team to be in contention for the next first overall pick because of some 50/50 decisions on bottom-of-the-roster spots. These decisions aren't going to determine the success of the team.
  2. Is Melchiori an option? He is a solid stay-at-home defenceman, might fit in well as the #7 guy or on the third pairing.
  3. No chance he's in the lineup this week but maybe next week. Gurley - Dressler - Smith - Denmark - Kohlert **** that looks like a pretty damn good lineup to me
  4. He's 28 and hasn't exactly lit up the CFL thus far. I doubt the NFL is even on the radar anymore.
  5. I'm tired of the Bombers taking so long to make these moves. This should have been done YESTERDAY.
  6. Hate it, should not be happening.
  7. I don't see how they can justify keeping Peluso unless he is on IR. I still see spots for Thorburn, Lowry and Stuart. As much as I like Dano, I think he will be sent down. My opening day roster: Ehlers-Scheifele-Wheeler Laine-Little-Armia Connor-Perreault-Stafford Tanev-Copp-Thorburn Chiarot-Byfuglien Enstrom-Myers Stuart-Morrissey Burmistrov, Lowry, Postma in the press box, Matthias on IR. There always seems to be at least one player on IR so I think it's fair to plan for that.
  8. The Moose might be pretty good this year. Lots of good players going to have to end up there. It's going to be really interesting to see who makes the Jets. In previous years, guys like De Leo and Kosmachuk might have had a shot at the roster but there is just so much talent this year.
  9. If we are going to get one I hope it's Gurley . I'm not convinced that all three of these guys are total cancers. Maybe one or more will respond to this as a wake up call and it would be nice to be the beneficiary of that.
  10. Frederick's tackle attempt last night was atrocious. The game was still in reach but he blew it.
  11. Is TNA on TV here?
  12. I'm just saying, there are options. If we can't draft or sign a competent Canadian receiver. Tough to win games when you have guys that are just spot-fillers.
  13. Wow! I loved Mr Sinister when I was a kid. Definitely a top villain.
  14. It would be viable if we signed Henoc Muamba
  15. How come mods don't have the "Edited By:" line in their posts when they do an edit? Kills their credibility IMO
  16. I never said he doesn't make clutch catches, I was responding to a post that referenced game-winners and the only ones I could recall by JFG were 2 years ago.
  17. I do remember all that! I also remember the other 80% of the time when he totally disappears. I don't mean to disrespect JFG, I like the guy.... but if he's our best... I'll take Gore, Coehoorn, Durant, Bagg, Sinopoli, or Fantuz over him which represents the majority of the league having at least one better Canadian receiver than we do. That's not a good thing guys.
  18. The catch against the Riders was nice, for sure. Can he do it again? There's a reason he's been stapled to the bench most of his career.
  19. Amazing that he can make a game-winning catch in a game we lost?? Sorry, maybe you misread Mark F's post.
  20. LOL not yet bub
  21. Lol after two preseason games... the advanced stats crowd have been crying about him since the day he signed. I lend no credibility to their opinion.
  22. What? We're going back 2 years now to make a point? Stoddard was good too.
  23. I had no problem with them until Kohlert started dropping the ball every time they throw to him. His best quality was his hands and it seems like he's lost that, so what exactly is he in the lineup for? Certainly not speed or blocking. And JFG simply isn't good enough to be an every-week starter, we all know that. Our Canadian receivers are not good. The fact that we don't use them much does not excuse that... it highlights it. We need to improve there.
