  1. I do expect it, especially seeing them both on the injury report today. They'll want to get Garbutt on and probably Hallett too. That means players have to come out.
  2. I could see Garbutt, Hallett, and Murphy all in this week - take out Ogbevoen, Mitchell, and Chris-Ike Actually now that I think about it, they could even bring on Lucky Whitehead instead of Murphy and still be fine on the ratio
  3. Thought the above quote from John Hodge was interesting. https://3downnation.com/2024/07/13/winnipeg-blue-bombers-win-game-season-series-against-stampeders-13-other-thoughts/
  4. Hope Hardrick is ok
  5. Feels like BC had the ball the entire first half
  6. I don't hate the Riders, it's hard to hate a team when you're 8-1 against them in the last three years. It's more like pity than hate. I'm sorry that you think the team has done a 180 since a new coach came in. I imagine it's an intoxicating notion after so much futility recently. In reality, it's going to be the same story this year as it's been the last two years in Sask...a hot start followed by a crushing series of losses after Trevor Harris gets injured. To be more specific, well you've beat Hamilton twice and Edmonton once and those are the two worst teams in the league, without question. Nice win against Toronto, that was unexpected. But I'm sure it's going to be a steam rolling by BC and I'm pretty confident in the Bombers going into Regina next week. Especially since your home field advantage has gone away with your attendance problems. I'll say you've got a few studs on the team for sure - Bane and Milligan are the real deal. But the supporting cast leaves a lot to be desired. Ouellette is overrated and Patterson is not starting QB material. Anyways great to have you here, good luck today.
  7. Maybe Biggie is the answer at DE opposite Willie...
  8. I expect we'll see Garbutt come on for Myron Mitchell and otherwise have the exact same roster next week. O'Shea isn't making big changes after two wins in a row.
  9. This is going to be a true beatdown. Riders 4-0 season is a mirage and about to come crashing down in an ugly way.
  10. Bighill's gotta be 250+ lbs out there. Looks like he's gonna roll away if someone tips him over
  11. Definitely noticed Woods breaking through the line a few times and getting in Maier's face even if he didn't record a sack
  12. I just saw a stat on TSN that Wilson's 13 catches were the second most in Bombers history in one game
  13. I'd include Bonds in that list too, our secondary is actually unreal other than BA
  14. I'm happy to say that I personally predicted basically everything that happened and I go to bed satisfied with myself once again
  15. What "normally"... It's game six of his career...
  16. Pokey Wilson 🤩🤩🤩
  17. Micah Johnson can still ball but as a team they have six sacks in four games, I'm not scared of the Riders. Their secondary is pretty sus as well.
  18. SSK will be 6-6 by the time we reach the Banjo Bowl... book it
  19. Nobody gets past Hubert! Nobody!!!!
  20. The Fred Reid special Giving SSK way too much credit, especially without Trevor Harris
  21. You just know Collaros is going deep on the first play from scrimmage.
  22. I think there are plenty of reasons for optimism. That doesn't mean I don't also see issues. I just think it's not so dire. Our defense has actually had pretty good results, especially given the situations that the offence has put them in repeatedly. We've got the 3rd fewest offensive points allowed, tied for second fewest TDs against, 4th in net offence allowed, 2nd in passing yards allowed, middle of the pack in forced turnovers. It's not all rosy, as we are getting carved up on the ground where we are 9th in yards allowed per game. But overall, the defence has been decent. It's the offence that has really struggled. We're basically dead last in every category. We've also had injuries to two of the top receivers in the league and to Brady and Zach. My biggest worry is with the OL... they need to be better. We need more Brady and Streveler, even when Zach is healthy. Get the OL in run blocking situations where they are better than they are in pass pro. But I still see hope - I'm not of the opinion Zach is totally done. In fact I think we see a huge game from him tomorrow and then suddenly we're 2-4, on a 2 game winning streak, and right back in the mix. The visions are clear now. I see possible futures, all at once. Our enemies are all around us, and in so many futures they prevail. But I do see a way, there is a narrow way through.
  23. Seems silly to write off a player just because they are European. No question the pedigree is different but this guy played pro football for a year in Europe, won the best defensive player in the league, and went to the NFL's European camp. He's not some scrub. And he's also not coming onto the roster to start at DE. Just get some rotations. It seems like mindless bitching to me. No kidding. When they brought Fayad back, people whined that he must be an O'Shea favourite, why couldn't they bring back Upshaw instead, etc. Then he gets cut and again, it's an O'Shea problem. It's just become dumb at this point.
  24. This doesn't really make sense to me. If you don't care where they come from then what's the problem? Ogbevoen made the practice roster out of training camp and now he's getting a shot while Garbutt and Haba are injured. That's exactly how it's supposed to work. If Ogbevoen was American I don't think you'd be complaining about him getting on the roster.
