Anticipating Big Changes or Small by Camp?
Atomic replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Have to agree, Jones isn't going to fix that mess in one season. Hell look at his first year in Edmonton. 12-6? -
Bowman was outright released near the end of 2010 because he couldn't catch here... I believe he was being called a "coach killer" by the fanbase. The drops had gotten really bad. Edmonton picked him up immediately following the season and then he started tearing it up the next year.
-
So was Bogosian. Copp is nowhere near untouchable. I doubt they would move him but let's be realistic... If the right deal came along then they would move him. As for Enstrom, that would have to be a deal made after we are out of contention (we're still in it) because you aren't going to get a better roster player back. Picks and prospects sure but not a guy who is a better player right now.
-
Lol don't even bother with them. When the veteran players underperform, it's their fault, but when the young players underperform, it's Maurice's fault. Lol. It's like all logic goes out the window when discussing the Jets.
-
Besides the fact that Scheifele took an absolutely terrible penalty himself last game. But Goalie only thinks players over 25 should ever be held accountable, younger players need to be coddled and put in the best position possible for their personal success.
-
Only a 4.7 yard rushing average though, lowest of his career. That's concerning for a guy who will be 29 next season. I'd still like to see him here but hope we wouldn't break the bank.

Lowry has been dreadful
-
Ya OK he's a liability every time he's on the ice. I don't know why I'm even bothering with you. You're probably one of the guys in the crowd yelling SHOOT every time we touch the puck.
-
Rugged is fine but Stuart is a liability.Kichton will not play many (if any) games for the Jets. Eberle and RNH both make 6m a year and their cap hit is 6m a year. Leave Morrissey with the Moose until he is ready....rushing him isn't doing anyone any good. I'd rather see them sign Buff and trade Myers and Ladd but I don't think that will happen. Your comments on Stuart are silly. He is a third pairing d-man. What exactly are you expecting from him? Third pairing guys across the league get burned on a nightly basis. My comments on Stuart are silly? You don't think he is a liability? You don't think he is rugged? What am I expecting of him? Not to be a liability or hopefully be a 6th or 7th on another team! If you are okay with Stu being an everyday D man, you should set your bar higher. If he is going to play every game, there is no legitimate reason for him to see more than 9-10 minutes a game at the most. I'd rather Chiarot started than Stuart but we have nobody to replace him. We need a 1LHD or 2LHD...it is our biggest need now that Helle is playing above average in net. If you think there are any bottom-pairing D that aren't a liability sometimes then you don't watch NHL hockey and it's really that simple. If you think that Chiarot isn't a liability sometimes then you're just plain blind. Stuart is what he is, a tough, shot-blocking, stay-at-home d-man who fills a bottom pairing role.

City Illegally Ticketed, Won't Refund

Compared to what? We have the most efficient plowing system in the world. Other winter cities have sent people here to learn how we do it. -

Snow clearing parking bans should be enforced 100% of the time, and not just with tickets but a trip to Dr. Hook as well. What kind of narcissistic ******* thinks he is too important to move his car? It affects everyone on that street, sometimes for multiple weeks, if the plows can't do their jobs. -

They can make any law they want. But no law = invalid ticket = refund money. Sure but common sense dictates that if the city says don't park on the street between 7 and 7 then you shouldn't park there and you deserve to be punished for your stupidity. Unfortunately the city's stupidity overrides that in this case. -
Maybe Breckenridge or Anthony Allen. Kyle Norris is a good Canadian special teamer but not sure we need that. Didn't mind Derek Walker as an import DT but again not sure we need.

They should refund and then repeal the stupid law so the streets can get plowed. Next thing you know we'll have Joe Blow refusing to move his car before 11 pm because there are no signs. -

If you've ever lived on a street where your only parking option was on the street, you might think differently. I agree about moving and I think the city does a better job with the snow zones as opposed to it being a guessing game. But they illegally ticketed. Its an extension of their arrogance with ticketing altogether. Their excuse is "we didnt know. Our bad. No refunds though". So if I speed or park in the wrong place can I say sorry, I didnt know. Not gonna pay. I lived in that situation for many years. I figured it out. And you're oversimplifying. The city asked people to move between 7 and 7... If you didn't move, you should be ticketed. The "signage between 11 and 6" law is the stupid part and all this is is people trying to get out of paying on a technicality. How many of the people parked between 7 and 7 did so because they knew of the signage between 11 and 6 law? Probably almost zero. The reason is laziness and they should be ticketed. -
Yeah our lack of receiving prospects really is inexcusable. Toronto found what, 3 stud receivers in one offseason? Tough to run an offence when you can't adequately replace an injured starter for a week. Veltung was okay but nowhere near dominant and he's the best we've found.

Or people can just move their damn cars when the city is plowing. #BadNeighbours -
Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania
Atomic replied to Goalie's topic in General Discussion
Well at least they recognize they need t shake things up. Roman is a better champ than Sheamus and having Roman vs. the McMahons/League of Nations, Dean vs Kevin Owens, and the Charlotte storyline, I'm actually pretty interested to see where this goes. Can't wait for the Rumble!! -

I can't remember the last time I saw the world championship change hands on RAW -

Reigns wins the title on RAW. Wow. Even those Philly fans who booed him so hard at the Royal Rumble were cheering. The 3 hour run time really kills the momentum on RAW but it was a good start and a great finish tonight. Loved seeing Mr McMahon out there. -

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Roman Reigns but I still think his fanbase is growing. -

"The Roman push isn't working" I would normally agree with that but I think that last night's events will help. Notice throughout the match everyone was cheering for NXT, We Want Cena, etc.. But then after the match were cheering Roman hard. This was Roman's best moment thus far. -

Tag titles match and Roman rampage were good. Liked seeing Dean win the IC.Also like the direction Charlotte is going. The opener. Ah yes. Lynch vs Banks was on the kickoff so I got confused. That was a good one too though. -
