How to eat food without being racist
Atomic replied to kelownabomberfan's topic in General Discussion
Cultural appropriation is the dumbest concept. It's so left wing that is has come all the way around to being totally racist. "You can't do what I do unless your skin looks like my skin." -
Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania

Yeah that was a lame PPV lol. I honestly predicted that finish before the tournament even started and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. -

It's funny, I went back looking through some 2013 depth charts and most of the players from that awful team are still kicking around the league somewhere, in many cases on teams far better than the Bombers. Good enough for the rest of the league but not for Winnipeg. I guess when your QB lineup is Pierce, Hall, Goltz, things don't go so well.

2013 or 2014. Not for very long but he did play.

Choice of channels coming to cable TV packages soon.

No "party down south"? Lol. There is so much crap on TV. I've never heard of party down south. Calculating. You must mean South Park. Yes I watch that sometimes I suppose. -
Funny to see how many former Bombers are playing for Edmonton in the West final. Bowman Willis Greaves Sorensen Simpson Muamba Boulay Watson By my count 8/46 players are former Bombers, not to mention the handful that the Bombers easily could have had via the draft or free agency like Coehoorn, Hinds, Dubuisson, Steele and Alexandre. I guess it doesn't really matter now.

Hey where did all the people go who kept telling me Burmi is as good or better than Frolik?

I literally watch about 7 or 8 channels. TSN, Sportsnet, and whatever channels are showing football. Also Modern Family when I get home from work, I think that's Fox. -

He was really good by the end of his WCW run and unbelievable in WWE. He was the Daniel Bryan of his day as far as connecting with the audience. Him beating Brock for the world title was something special. When was that? I'll see if I can find it on the network. -
Crazy. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34814203 And we want to bring more refugees into Canada? Yikes.

Great Eddie story, thanks TUP. I was never huge fan of his in WCW and had pretty much abandoned wrestling by the time he ended up in WWE. But his talent was undeniable. -

I'm still shocked they didn't leave any spots open for a mystery competitor. Like why the hell not?!?! -
As I said earlier, Burris didn't have multiple shoulder injuries. Oh I get it.

What is elite in a 9 team league? Top 3? Top 5? He is neither of those...I disagree.Collaros was the hottest QB in the league before he got hurt and in my mind is #1, and Burris had a great season this year so that puts him at #2. (Of course Burris is just as likely to crash and burn next year like he did last year.) That leaves Mitchell, Harris, Reilly and Durant in the 2nd tier of QBs. (And possibly Jennings from BC? I did not see enough of him to say.) Willy is easily in their league. If you put any of those guys on the Bombers offence this year what do you think would’ve happened? Statistically speaking, if you extrapolate Willy’s numbers for an 18 game season he is right up there in the top 5 QBs. He would have had approx. 4100 yards, 24 TDs, 9 int., With a QBR of approx. 100. And that's with Bellfool as OC. You missed Ray. And I don't play the "if he had stayed healthy, he would have had..." game. That’s okay that you don’t play that game, but if you want to compare QBs and rank them, you kind of have to. I understand that every QB could add numbers to their totals in this way, but there is really no other way to compare.Ricky Ray in his prime was elite and I would have wanted him over anyone out there. He is no longer in his prime though. Going into next season he will be 37 years old and on the down side of his career. At this point in their careers, I would stick with Willy. It is my opinion that with a competent oline and a competent OC, Willy has the tools to be a top 3 QB. Fair enough but he hasn't shown that yet. Hell we chose Willy over Burris because Burris was on the downside of his career and now Burris just had one of the best years of his career and very well may win the Grey Cup. Now we're saying the same thing about Ray. Hmmm something about not learning from our mistakes.... Yes he has. When we is healthy is near the top or the top in all stats. He hasn't done it over an entire season due to injury. But when he's in there, he's one of the best. If a guy is never healthy can you really make that argument? I'm assuming you are counting the last half of last season as him not being healthy because his numbers were certainly not top of the league. In fact his numbers over the past two seasons have been eerily similar to Buck's first two seasons with the Bombers (chronologically reversed). Another guy who people liked to play the "when he's healhy he's great" game with.

Why isn't it comparable? Assuming Ray goes to FA. If not then yes I would agree it's different.
-
Burris didn't have multiple shoulder injuries. Also, we did try to get Burris.Of course he didn't. He is the most durable quarterback perhaps ever to play in the CFL. Hey we could have used a guy like that. And yes we tried to get Burris. Until he got offered more money, then we gave up. Great. Now Ottawa won as many games this year as we have the last 2 combined but I'm sure glad the Bombers saved that money on Burris. Really helps me sleep at night. You would actually rather have Burris right now than Willy? Is that a serious question???? Yes, 7 days a week and twice on Grey Cup Sunday. He's going to be hoisting the Cup at IGF anyways, may as well have been with the Bombers.

The movie was called "The One". Or maybe only in a parallel universe.
