  1. Can't a man walk down the street in this country without being offered a job??
  2. What's to become of Trevor Harris?
  3. He would but... You can only go to the zoo so many times.
  4. Then I guess you're the lame one! Lol!
  5. NO! I can not stress this enough. Don't hire a coordinator expecting them to be the next head coach. How the **** has that worked out for this team the last times they've done it? Daley, Burke, disastrous. Hire the best OC for the team right now and if OShea gets fired midseason then just ride out the year cause the year is already ****** anyway and do a full search for a new head coach in the offseason. Didn't say it was the right thing to do Dave but, money will always be the driving force with the BOD and if they can save a few bucks on severance, they will. If we wish to escape this hell, we must do it as Bruce Wayne did. Without the rope.
  6. TSN had a worse drop that CJOB did. I wonder why? Their jump was temporary due to the Jets playoff run, other than that blip their share has been rising slowly and steadily.
  7. Sweet Mama Murphy that's a big list! http://www.cfl.ca/article/2016-free-agent-tracker
  8. CJOB dying a slow death. Go TSN!!
  9. My guess would be that old balls Wally is strongly considering KJ as his new OC
  10. Yeah I know it's weird that some of us actually consider what a quote means while you take it 100% literally and lambaste team management based solely on that. You dum.
  11. I like Chap because Sask's offence was tops in the league even with the world's worst defence. That's a good thing.
  12. From the original post. That's different than his 'opinion would be considered'. O'Shea and Walters should be making the decisions, not Willy or any other player for that matter. Interpretation. His opinion will be considered but the final call is not his. That's how I read it.
  13. So he should be completely excluded from the process? All the article said was that Willy's opinion would likely be considered. Not that big a deal.
  14. 1. Cortez 2. Chapdelaine 3. Brady 4. J. Jackson 5. Lapolice That's my top 5, assuming Maas is not an option.
  15. Cortez is a great OC and that's widely recognized everywhere other than riderfans.com
  16. You're right, 2 NHL players and then Burmi
  17. What happened to you Mark? You used to be such a nice guy.
  18. How can you possibly predict that, though? The only guys who have stuck around in one place long are those with the GM title, which Jones would have in Sask.
  19. He changes up the lines but he also doesn't change up the lines. Stupid article.
  20. Buono has already announced that he will not be returning to BC...I guess I missed something. Lol.#Cortez2016
  21. Cortez would be a great OC for us but I expect him to stay in BC unless I missed something.
  22. It's not about purposely tanking, that's silly. The fact of the matter is that even pro coaches are human and job performance can't help but be affected by your attitude towards your employer. If you resent your boss, you aren't going to work as hard for them. It's just natural human tendency.
  23. Calgary could have cared less though. One assumes Edmonton would care a lot more and go even beyond the CFL to uphold the contract if it came down to that. What are you talking about? If I had a chance to move up to a far better position and my company wouldn't even let me talk to the competitor, what do you think would happen to my job performance? It would tank. And then what would happen when my contract is up? I would leave. And what would happen when the company tried to hire a new coach who is in high demand? Either they wouldn't come or they would make sure it was in their contract that they could leave for a better position. The team isn't in any position of power in this situation and trying to flex your legal muscles on your most valuable employee is never a good idea.Head coach is a pinnacle position. There's no reason why a team shouldn't expect their head coach under contract to be focused on their franchise. This isn't really like two companies competing, more like playing two McDonalds franchises off each other. There should be a level of respect and bottom line decorum. They are the same company. All of the tanking performance stuff reflects far worse on the coach than anyone else. There's a huge difference between assistants moving up and head coaches shopping themselves while under contract. The only guy in CFL history who got away with that was Don Matthews. He also dated his players wives so not exactly a person of character. It's not a lateral move though. It would be a move to head coach/GM which is a step up. Regardless, they received permission so obviously the Eskimos lean towards agreeing with my viewpoint.
