Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania
Atomic replied to Goalie's topic in General Discussion
I think the answer is to bring in some strong stables. They don't really have any these days. Sure there is the Authority but that's not really a stable. I mean like DX, NWO, Nation of Domination, The Ministry, etc. That would also help with the fans not knowing who to cheer for. They could latch on to certain stables and it would be easier to distinguish between heel and face. And the opportunity for more continuous storylines without the exact same matches would be greater. -
Are we having trouble attracting assistant coaches here? Stubler chose Hufnagel and Calgary over Winnipeg, but can you blame him? Other than that, we've been able to bring in veteran guys like Richie Hall, Bob Wylie, Todd Howard. It's not like Marcel Bellefeuille still has a job just because we can't find anyone to replace him.

Not gonna lie, I turned off RAW after Kane beat up Rollins. Looks like the Wyatt vs Reigns match was actually pretty good. It's too bad we've already seen that one. -
The game is in Winnipeg and I just had a vision that the team is going to go 4-1 over the final 5 games. Get ready everyone. This is very exciting.

I think we should explore this angle a little more.

Nope I disagree. A big part of the appeal is the Canadian players. Not just because I am Canadian and patriotic but because of the added roster intrigue. How do you juggle the roster in order to field the best possible lineup? How often have we all had that discussion? Remove the Canadians and it just becomes the B-League to the NFL, for what would really amount to a very slight improvement in the skill level.

No End Call - CFL confirms it was an incorrect call
Atomic replied to Floyd's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
But Adams is allowed the yard from the line of scrimmage. He CAN move. Unless you're insinuating the rule should be changed? No I'm insinuating that he moved off the LOS. He's more than a yard away from the line judge when the ball comes up and the LJ should be on the LOS to get the right angle. He moved off with the 1/2 step he took back, but with the LOS being the 37 1/2 yard line, his right foot was on on the 38 when the ball was snapped. He was only about 1/2 yard off the LOS (which is allowed) regardless of where the side judge was standing. I'm going from the loop I saw on twitter after the game showing the LJ pointing while Adams was moving then Adams settling down and taking a half step back. CFL and TSN game logs say 37 yard line. Of course that could be 37 1/2. I can't find the loop anymore, do you have a link? https://twitter.com/DTonSC/status/647854707764031488 Thanks. Looks like Adams is indeed still within a yard after the step back. That means the explanation from Johnson is wrong and the LJ must of messed up where the LOS was. Can't fix that. That's not what went wrong. The official explanation is much more complex. I encourage you to listen to the first ten minutes of tonight's coaches show once it's up on the CJOB site. I just heard it but I can't explain it, I will screw it up... just go have a listen when you get a chance. But it had nothing to do with where Adams was or whether he had moved. -
Experience matters a lot. Toronto got it right when they hired the "inexperienced" (Pro coach since 2003 and asst HC in Montreal) Milanovich and Edmonton got it right when they hired "inexperienced" (Pro coach since 1998 including Asst HC/GM in Toronto) Jones. We got it wrong when we hired "inexperienced" (STC since 2010) O'Shea. Rookies are a higher risk whether it's as a player, HC, GM or CEO or any other job for that matter. Take the higher risk and you may get rewarded, but it's more likely that you'll be replacing them more often than an experienced person with a quality track record. You know we could also look at Pinball Clemons who had basically no experience and made a pretty good head coach. Just get off the experience thing and say what you really mean, stop hiring duds and hire someone good. I mean really you want a proven experienced hire so what are we doing? Dragging Don Matthews or Dave Ritchie out of the old age homes to run the teams for us? Cause other than that the list of guys with experience have been tried and failed. For every Clemons, there are several Burke's, O'Shea's, PLAP's and Kelly's. You seem to be ignoring the term more likely.Tom Higgins has an above .500 record. Yah, he was fired by Montreal, but O'Shea wouldn't have lasted a year and half there either. Mike Benevides has an above .500 record. Yah, he was fired by BC, but that's because they don't take losing lying down. Now I'm confused. So Benevides had enough experience but Lapolice didn't?

No, no, I agree, I want more investigation. I'm just saying the "We found water!!!" proclamation could be a little premature. There is still enough doubt that one day we could hear the "Well there was a 99% chance the evidence indicated water was present, but here's why we misunderstood." Just a tad premature is all I'm saying. They haven't discovered water yet.
-
Lapo had tons of experience before he was hired too.
-
True. But according to them, its pretty clear. No one has yet walked over and scooped up a handful of wet sand. But splitting hairs. Thats why we *need* to do just that. I don't call it splitting hairs. Either they found water or they didn't. They didn't. It is exciting but there are still unanswered questions here. I will reserve my total excitement until they have actual liquid water.
-
Hold on they did not find water. They found evidence that indicates strongly that there is water.

It is black and white. The officials blew it. End of story. -
5 years from now you'll be telling us we shouldn't be signing Mark Scheifele to an 8 year extension because he'll be 35 at the end of it. When does it end? When can we start thinking about the present?

SNES civ 1 was the first civ I ever played. What an awesome game.

Marcel Bellefeuille - When does he get axed
Atomic replied to Brandon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Should have tested Thibault more but to write him off as some kind of scrub is bordering on willful ignorance. He was one of the top rated DBs in his draft and ran the fastest 40 at the combine IIRC. Second year Cdn receiver vs second year Cdn defensive back. Not as much of a mismatch as he's trying to make it out to be. -

what available coach would you hire?

You know...sometimes, I don't even understand what you're saying. You respond to comments and it just doesn't make sense. Why won't you just acknowledge that your option has changed to accepting -

That actually is a pretty good movie, I think I might watch it today. -
I was at the game (via free tickets) and I found it very entertaining. I'm glad it wasn't a blowout. Bad result, good game.

That's a pretty ignorant point of view. How do you know you wouldn't have liked it if you've never had it? Check your privilege bro.
